There has been a ton of backlash from the media for Michelle Obama being booed at the Ford 400 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida on Sunday. However, even if it is considered disrespectful to the office of the First Lady, is it justified?
On his Monday show, radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh suggested it was certainly justify and deserved. According to Limbaugh, it was rebuke of the Obamas and some of the policies they have promoted while in the White House.
Bottom line: We dont like being told what to eat, Limbaugh said. We dont like being told how much to exercise. We dont like being told what weve got to drive. We dont like wasting money. We dont like our economy being bankrupted. We dont like 14 percent unemployment. The question is, what is there to cheer for when Ms. Obama and Ms. Biden show up?

“Big Butted Woman” by Sir Mix-a-Lot would have been a great lead in for her.
I wasn't aware the position of First Lady was an 'office'. Perhaps that's part of the issue. The 0bamas seem to think it is.
I listened to the entire segment. Rush was spot on.
He said we take exception with the Moochelle Obama’s penchant for lavish travel on the taxpayer’s dime, all while being told what to eat, what to drive, and how to live.
“a ton of backlash from the media”
Big freaking deal. The ‘media’ can KMA!
Since when do we allow a bunch of know nothings scold us as if we are a bunch of children. Hells bells, they did the same to Pres. Bush everyday that he was in office. Now, they kiss the Obamas *ss. They can shove it!
Limbaugh didnt indict the character of the attendees of Sundays NASCAR event. Instead, he praised them for recognizing they are being insulted and condescended to.
She has a staff, but I wouldn’t be hurt if it were cut...
I think the booing was about this: The American people are sick of these people and their inherent assumption that they are more important than NASCAR (which I myself do not give a crap about) or football or food or all the other things they have infected with their allegedly divine presence. NASCAR is a religious thing, I am perfectly aware of that and I have zero problem with it.
NASCAR is a bridge too far. Them getting involved with NASCAR say “we think you are stupid hayseeds but we need your votes”. And people resent that. I sure hope they do. Right now, I’m donning my flame suit as I state: 0bama gets re-elected.
We also take exception to campaign stunts. The Obamas have been in office through three NASCAR seasons. The fact that her idiot husband invited the drivers to the White House while the racing season was still going on indicates how stupid he is when it comes to the sport.
Mike Helton, President of NASCAR, should be roasted over the coals for even allowing this invitation. As a result, his fans, who keep him in business, are being vilified all over the internet for not being hypocrits when it came to a woman who can’t stand them. And all you need to see are those candid photos of her taken during the race - she has a look of utter distaste and was probably counting the minutes until she could leave.
Michelle Obama gets booed, and WOAH! WE CAN'T HAVE THAT! How disrespectful!
What??
...the office of the First Lady...
"Office?" Is that like "Office of the President-Elect of the United States?" This bunch creates offices at the drop of a hat.
“We also take exception to campaign stunts.”
Exactly!
Friend, you are right on. Michelle Obama hates NASCAR and all its fans, period. As for the media soft pedal, these media “dirt bags” spent the last three weeks ripping apart Herman Cain. Based on their non-stop onslaught, Mr. Cain should by now, be chopped into little pieces of dust or burned at the stake!!! However, amazing, Mr. Cain lives to race for the POTUS, yet. another day!!!! Folks, tells ya all something about the media, it don’t count for naught!!! Whooped ‘em again, Josie!! (From The Outlaw Josie Wales)
Go back to Chicago, Michelle. You wouldn't understand these good people.
Who holds this office if the president is a batchelor or widower?
What happens to the staff?

I respectfully disagree with that prediction. Here's why:
The memories of a very blue Christmas 2011 will linger long into 2012. Families will remember a bleak Thanksgiving and an unhappy New Year. Children will go without gifts, the turkey dinner will be less bountiful this year and Black Friday will not see the usual uptick in sales. The economic despair is due to Obama and his DemonRAT colleagues.
As winter turns to spring and summer, voters will rightfully repudiate Obama. I see this as a rare opportunity for the GOP to go extremely Conservative. This is not a time for moderation. It's a time to take back America by capitalizing on the mess that Obama and his minions have made of our country.

This is what they think of NASCAR people...(remember?!)
“You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothings replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So its not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who arent like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
I fear you are correct unless the Republicans can get their act together.
Honestly, I look at the field and ask “Is this the best we can do?” There are aspects of each of the candidates that I like a lot, and much else that is lacking. I’d love for someone to crop up who could combine them into one person, but alas, she who perhaps came closest is out of the running.
