Good Morning America on Monday repeated White House talking points in regard to the booing of Michelle Obama at a NASCAR event on Sunday. News reader Josh Elliott played a clip of the booing and then parroted, "The White House says it was a chaotic event. It was not clear, perhaps, what the boos were specifically for."
The Today show didn't cover the event at all. On the Early Show, Jeff Glor linked, "Some people booed [Michelle Obama and Jill Biden] when they showed up last night. They were on hand to honor military troops and their families." So, is the implication that NASCAR fans were booing the military?
Co-host Erica Hill later repeated, "At other sporting events, this has happened as well. Not everybody always happy but they were there as part of their joining forces initiative to highlight military families."

Well, many NASCAR fans are bitter clingers. /s
It was an obvious charade and bravo to the crowd for calling them out.
That and NASCAR keeps entertaining politicians that have nothing for disdain for their fan base. Then again, NASCAR has been trying to change it's image for some years now -- much to the chagrin of their fans. The NFL is already a lost cause.
The media are like zombies for Obama, they do what he says, they wipe his butt when he asks them to, and they do everything possible to make him look good, even when making him look good is impossible.
She thought “boo” was “moo”, and felt right at home.
The crowd wasn't Booing, They were actually chanting:
BOO-tay! BOO-tay! BOO-tay! BOO-tay!
Not the same tight interpretation of the booing, allegedly, of the gay marine at the Tea Party Debate, right?
I don’t think it’s a good thing to be booing the FLOTUS, whomever she might be, but this one spent the past 3 years doing her best Marie Antoinette with $100K evenings out in NYC, her big splash on the Costa del Sol, trips to Africa, Martha’s Vineyard, etc., but NOW, now that we’re into a campaign, she’s going to NASCAR? Please!
“That was mild compared to what the booing would have been had the military NOT BEEN THERE!”
That’s what they had to do when trotting out Vacationer Michelle at the World Series.
Have to make it all about the military, even though these classless frauds hate our military, because then they can just say the people booing them hate the military!
Take away the Sergeant and his family, who were there for nothing other than their protection, and then let them try it.
Of course it was. Three years into their administration and now the Obamas show up at NASCAR and hide behind the “it’s all for the troops?” There are several races a year at which the military is specially honored (actually, they’re pretty much honored at all of them). This was nothing more than a campaign stunt and the crowd knows exactly what she and her husband think of them.
And, predictably, the MSM is reporting the NASCAR fan base the same way they report on the TEA Party. Which I imagine was the design all along.
Did she get booed?
I´m indifferent to her after she´s taken conservative voters for a ride.
The lamestream media is trying to treat NASCAR fans in the same manner that Joe Wilson was pilloried for his "You lie!" moment of truth during the SOTU address.
Like Joe Wilson, NASCAR fans are American-loving patriots who see through the fraud of Obama and his associates.
I'm sure that's what the lamestreamers are all thinking.
However consider the reaction that Herman Cain gets with the NASCAR demographics. It's not a racial component at all. NASCAR fans are All-American, pro-God, pro-family, pro-gun pro-military folks who know an American-hating commie when they see one.
Good for you! You might mention that W. was also a Harvard grad. All of us need to keep fighting the good fight.

REMARKS BY THE FIRST LADY
AT A COUNTRY MUSIC STUDENT WORKSHOP
State Dining Room
2:10 P.M. EST
MRS. OBAMA: Hey, what’s going on? It’s good to see you guys! Well, hello, and welcome. Pretty cool, huh?
AUDIENCE: Yes!
MRS. OBAMA: Yes, pretty cool. Well, I can’t stay, because I have to go out to the garden and do a bunch of other stuff. But this is one of my favorite parts of the day, when we have Music Series and inviting you guys all here, so you get a little taste of it.
And today, in the latest edition of the White House Music Series, we are celebrating the great American art of country music. And this is our second time doing country music, and it’s one of our favorite art forms.
And I want to start by just thanking a few people before I turn it over. We have a trio of amazing stars, men who are gorgeous and talented and awesome and giving — yes, yes. Lyle Lovett, Darius Rucker, and of course Kris Kristofferson, who are here with us, and Bob Santelli, who has been just a huge support for these events that we have. He’s from the GRAMMY Museum, and he helps to put all this stuff together, and oftentimes works to get young people here for these series. So I want to thank them for being here.
