A statement of Nihilism: "Nothing s true. Everything is permitted."

Our government now represents Nihilism. There are no laws. No deadlines. Money means nothing. Debt means nothing. Nothing is true.

And government can do whatever the eff it wants.

And of course the lamestream media is already saying that the poor, elderly, leo's, firemen and all of those wonderful govt. employees will be severely hurt by this horrific automatic spending cut.

Pfft...

THIS WAS A DECEPTION FROM THE START

They wanted the ‘automatic’ cuts that will gut the military, and the tax increases

So they get what they wanted all along, by purposely failing

I think Conservatives are going to have to change tactics. During the Clinton years we thought split Government was a good thing because it paralyzed DC from doing anything stupid. However now that we need DC to actually clean up some of the messes the professional political class have created, split Govt in DC is paralyzing it.

We need to send an overwhelming message in 2012 that this "politics as usual" crap has got to end.

I’m not sure why anyone believed that a smaller subset of the same dysfunctional body would come up with any less dysfunctional of a result.

The Democrats keep looking at the poor job approval ratings for congress, so they’re trying to paint the congress as being controlled by the Republicans. Of course, their lapdogs in the old media are helping them. “Things would be much better if we could just get rid of these obstructionist Republicans and do what we want to do.”
Why, we’ve got problems...right here in River City! That’s Problem with a capital P and that rhymes with D and that stands for Democrat!

This has been the plan all along. Why even pretend that this is somehow ‘news’?

$1.2 Trillion? Do they not understand that we are $15 Trillion in debt? They are looking at Military and Medicare cuts. Yes, these programs need to be looked at but what about everything else our government wastes money on? Like all the regulations that drive companies out of business?

You can bet Obama will be fingerpointing.

Of course this is going to fail, that was the intention all along. Did anyone for one second think that a committee with an equal number of R and D would compromise in an election year? The truth is that at least the GOP came up with some ideas, but they were promptly shot down because they didn't include tax increases. Of course the MSM basically ignores this.

So now, as we conservatives figured out, it gives Hussein cover for the lousy economy ["Hey the committee couldn't come to a decision, not my fault."] and he gets another chance to blame the minority party ["the GOP wouldn't compromise."]. This plan was about giving Hussein cover during the election all along.

My prediction: The next act in this comic farce will be SCOTUS taking up 0bamacare during the height of the campaign. I have no proof, but I believe the fix is in and through twisted logic it will be approved in a 5-4 vote. Now Soetoro gets a big win on the eve of the election, the economy goes off the front page for awhile and we get shafted with another permanent entitlement set in stone.

Did we expect anything else for both parties. Our government is saturated with corruption.

Why are they calling this a failure? It was wildly successful, if you consider that this was designed to cut the budget in a way that every elected official can avoid blame. Take the automatic cuts, and keep going.

This Super Committee was doomed to failure from the start. Just looking at the uber liberal Democrat members appointed meant that no compromise was possible. I also seriously doubt the whole Super Committee concept is Constitutional.
