Libertarians are Liberals.
Libertarians care more about being Socially Liberal than they do about being Fiscally Conservative.
If a Libertarian runs a strong third party campaign, it just means that votes are siphoned away from the Republican.
This is how Obama gets his second term.
We’ve been here before.

Bill Clinton became president with 43% of the vote.

I heard the interview, and Paul isn’t going to run. He kept repeating he had no intention or plans to run and didn’t want to. Hannity kept on asking if he would say that under absolutely no circumstances would he run, and Paul kept saying he had no intention to run.

Stupid radio and a useless line of inquiry. If there is any out at all involved in the “no intention”/”no plans” response it would probably involve developments about as remote as an invasion by space aliens. Paul will stay on the reservation if for no other reason than to help Rand’s prospects for the future.

You have that right! But Ron Paul is already siphoning votes from real contenders. The GOP isn’t going to elect a Libertarian like Paul. He knows it, but gets to keep the money after his failed bid. Doesn’t matter what his numbers look like in Iowa. Paul is a non-starter.

I refuse to vote for mittens under ANY circumstance. If Dr. Paul runs obey, though he HAS said he will NOT, I will vote for him if mittens is the nominee. Is that clear enough?

If the nominee is anyone BUT Dr. Paul, Obummer stands a good chance of getting reelected and CWII starting...

Libertarians care more about being Socially Liberal than they do about being Fiscally Conservative.

I don't think that's true for most. Not all of them are social liberals and a lot don't give a crap about social issues at all.

The 1980 LP POTUS candidate did run as a "low tax liberal" though.

In my view the most popular #1 issues for LP people and Paul people are

Taxes/Spending

Legalize Weed/End drug war

Bring troops home/non-interventionist foreign policy

With the latter too seems like a lot of them are fixated on that 1 issue alone (or both).

Ron Paul’s fans never vote the GOP ticket in the general anyway.

They either vote fringe party or for the Democrat.

On ronpaulforums and dailypaul, they were boasting about their Obama votes to each other in ‘08. That’s what the GOP “got” for not nominating Ron Paul.
