Republican Senator Charles Grassley is closing in on Attorney General Eric Holder in earnest, dissecting his testimony last week before the Senate Judiciary Committee in a pair of commentaries published today and yesterday on his website, and they are damning.
Probably not surprising, since Grassley made it clear in his opening statement to the Judiciary committee last week that he believes the Justice Department has been less than truthful about who knew what and when they knew it. This column detailed his remarks at the time.
Yesterday, the Iowa senator zeroed in on Holders claim that Congress had voted to keep law enforcement in the dark about suspicious firearms purchases by private citizens, and today he challenges another Holder assertion that he was not quickly advised by Deputy Attorney General Gary Grindler about details revolving around the murder of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.
Earlier this week, Grassley ripped Holder and his subordinates over other details in the Fast and Furious debacle, as this column reported. He also blistered the attorney general on Mexican gun trace assertions, as this column noted. The senator has been a busy fellow
Of particular interest to Grassley is the timing of the arrest of suspected Operation Fast and Furious straw purchaser Jaime Avila, who bought two of the guns found at the Terry murder scene. Avila was a suspect for months in the gun trafficking investigation, but it was only after Terry was killed that he was arrested. Heres Grassleys take:
Jaime Avila could have been arrested for straw purchasing any time between January 2010 and Agent Terrys death on December 15, 2010.Senator Charles Grassley

LOL. All for show. Nothing is going to happen to these chosen politicos.
"Obama isn't just incompetent....he's something else. Something worse. I've been around a lot of asshole-arrogant politicians. Even a few criminal ones. Obama is different. This is a whole new level of corruption."
These are both blogs. Take 'em for what they're worth. I report, you decide.

That sounds like purely wishful thinking agitprop. Issa is also investigating Solyndra and has been in the news in the last few days hammering on that.
ulsterman mentioned “Companion Security”...

Next week we will learn if Tony Rezko is the fall guy in Operation Board Games. Set up to protect Obama. Why wasnt Rod Blagojevich prosecuted first? Why wasnt Tony Rezko sentenced earlier? Rezko was never called as a witness.
We have a corrupt US Justice Department, with a corrupt prosecutor, Patrick Fitzgerald, headed by a corrupt Attorney General, Eric Holder, headed by a corrupt occupant of the White House, Barack Obama.

Of course we do, and don’t forget the corrupt MSM which is now like the old USSR Pravda. The coup is nearly complete, wonder how the ones that voted for the POS will like their new dictator.
You’re right and sometimes I wonder if I’m on FR or DUmmieland. Shame shame, not good to eat you own unless you are a supporter of the Marxist Hussein usurper in the WH. There are some candidates that I can’t stand. 2 that I don’t particularly like due to one or two things I disagree with them on, and 3 that I really like. Regardless of who wins I will be voting for them because I REFUSE to vote for Hussein and not voting is the same as voting for that Kenyan, Indonesian or whatever the hell he really is.
Too many fear riots by the black community if Holder or 0bama, or any prominent black politician for that matter,

Sigh...... seriously, if they are afraid of riots in the black community, then this country is so far gone there is no turning back.
I read somewhere that Darrell Issa is backing off his investigations because of not too subtle hints from the Obama administration. This is hard to believe, however, has anyone read anything from Issa lately?

No and I believe Issa is wimping out
Great to see this from Grassley. Not long ago we were not happy with him as he was lukewarm in opposition to the health care bill.
More specifically, Holder was heavily involved in the Mark Rich pardon and the government kidnapping of the Cuban refugee boy, Elian Gonzalez, from his uncle's Miami residence.
Had they not manhandled that Cuban middle-class family and publicly demonized them, we would have had President Al Gore. So really we owe Eric Holder a debt of gratitude. He p@##$#ed off the Cuban community so bad that their vote narrowly beat those of the dead-old-people-who-are-still-on-the-roles-voting-through-illegal-immigrants-channeling-their-spirit, just barely saving us from hearing Al Gore on 9/12 say that he will bring UBL to justice no matter how long it takes and how much money he has to spend (he spoke those worlds after the Kenya embassy bombing; on tv). On the other hand, that would have gotten me to Israel eight years sooner. So thank you, Eric Holder. Thank you. You saved America in spite of yourself.
Thanks justiceseeker93.
Thanks for the ping!
