My respect for Slick Willard just went up.

I expected him to try to disown it. Its good he’s sticking by it even if its not popular.

I don’t agree RomneyCare is a good thing ever but what I hate more is a politician who is a weathervane.

Mittens has that reputation. Overcoming it will be a tall order.

He affirmed that he believes the health-care program was the “right thing” for Massachusetts then, although he conceded that it hasn’t “worked perfectly.”

Why go Romney when we already have 0bama in place?

You almost have to admire him for his courage, to stand by this turkey.

But America hates 0bamacare and Mr. Romney needs to be constantly reminded that his plan is what 0bama and his minions used as a blueprint for 0bamacare.

Now, does anyone honestly believe that he will have the courage to repeal 0bamacare, which is the offspring of his baby in Massachusetts?

Chris Wallace, in one of his more lucid interview moments on FoxNews Sunday several months ago, called Romeny on his claim that Romneycare didn’t cause increases while he was governor.

Wallace pointed out that Massachusetts received FED money for the purpose of implementing Romneycare, thus keeping the initial costs low — while Romney was Governor. The cost rises didn’t occur until after Romney had left office.

Convenient, huh.

He affirmed that he believes the health-care program was the “right thing” for Massachusetts

Yeah, what did Massachusetts residents do to deserve the mandate enforced by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue?

What happens if I do not meet the mandate?

If you don’t have health insurance by Dec. 31, 2007, you will lose your personal income tax exemption for 2007. That exemption gives you a Massachusetts tax savings of approximately $219.

In 2008, the cost of the penalty goes up. The fine will equal half of the cost of the lowest-priced Health Connector-certified plan for each month that you don’t have coverage

Waivers will be available for those who cannot afford a plan that meets the rules. Check back for updates.

How is the mandate enforced?

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue will enforce the individual mandate through the tax process.

Used to feel sorry for mass residents, then realized they =send the likes of Barney Frank, Jon Kerry, and would still be sending Ted Kennedy if he wasn't burning in Hell, and don't have much sympathy.

FLIP SLICK WILLARD RINO ROMNEY needs to find a new hobby, running for the GOP nomination is a waste of time and money.

Milt, the Magic RINO:

I control their marriage, their health.
Their BIG DIG, and their badges.
I control the backstabbing against the GOP.
Bow deeply before me.

Day 48 Of The FReepathon
Do You Know Why?

There are loyal posters that donate every FReepathon. Some donate several times during every 'thon. But others never donate. Why?

1 My enemies haven't been zotted.
2 The owner doesn't support my candidate.
3 FR won't "upgrade" to "Like" buttons and blinky crap.
4 Someone else will donate.
5 My friend was zotted.
6 I lost my job and have no income.

Only one of those is a legitimate reason.

Support It Or Lose It

Willard CANNOT back away from Romneycare- he’s already painted as a flip-flopping weathervane. If he disavows the single biggest, most visible, and worst thing he ever did, he’ll cement that label forever.

He MUST stick to this or prove he’s a waffler.

He finally picks an issue to not flip-flop on, and it’s this? Just confirms that Mr. RINO-care has no business being president.

If Romney is the best the GOP can muster, this party and the Republic is doomed.

Deplorably ironic that on a rare occasion when Romney sticks to his position, it’s an awful one.

Romney is a PROGRESSIVE with an R by his name. Does he really think the R by his name fools us? He’s a big government, huge statist progressive. End of story.

For anyone who lived in Massachusetts when it was happening it was quite clear that it was going to happen with Romney or without Romney. He had two choices, he could threaten veto and let the Democrats pass whatever the hell they wanted right over his veto (easily done in Massachusetts) or he could engage. Today, nobody in Massachusetts is talking about repealing RomenyCare so for the majority party Commies in Massachusetts, this probably was the right thing and of course legal under the 10th amendment. Too bad for Romney, he should have run for Governor of NH instead of Massachusetts and he could have avoided this issue. ;-)

Now that is brilliant. The fool can’t walk away from it. He alone owns it.

Much like Gingrich cannot walk away from the love seat climate change photo with Pelosi. And Perry cannot walk away from his “oops” moment.

Romney, Gingrich, Perry and Pelosi—Four arrogantly dishonest morons.
