Today is November 17, the two month anniversary since Occupy Wall Street began. Protestors have declared today to be an International Day of Action, calling for people to "occupy their block," to "shut down Wall Street" starting at 7:00 AM, and to "occupy the subway" starting at 3:00 PM. We have been hearing that protestors, and the NYPD, will be amassing all over the city today, and will be live blogging dispatches from our own Village Voice staff writers Rosie Gray (@_rosiegray) and Nick Pinto (@macfathom), as well as photographer C.S. Muncy (@CSMuncyPhoto), who are on the scene through out lower Manhattan.
5:15 AM: From the anchor desk here in downtown Brooklyn, we hear a helicopter that sounds like it is heading towards Manhattan. Nick sends two pictures: this one appears to be on an NYPD roll call, just north of the Wall Street bull:

Wow, NYPD put easily an additional 75 officers on the scene in 10 minutes. Nicely done.
Wow, took a little happy nap and our budding “newsman” Tim isn’t in Zucotti Park anymore. Happy to see such a large police turnout!!!
“I’m waiting to see if they disrupt the Thanksgiving Day Parade.”
You can count on them trying and not succeeding. The problem is the weather is going to be pretty mild for next week. Once it gets bad outside on a day to day basis with cold wind etc, they’ll leave the city or stop. Maybe a dozen will hang on but that’s about it.
“...his Eveready batteies, made by a NYSE corporation. LOL!”
Yes...he has mentioned his Eveready batteries several times.
lol
He also gets excited when he sees helicopters. They’re always buzzing overhead NYC...protesters or not.
It’s all about the attention for these little pukes.
I love that they’re going to occupy Foley Square near City Hall.
Let Bloomdouche have to contend with them on a regular basis.
“What time line are you using? Right now its 1:33 p.m. MST which is 3:33 EST. Cant be 3:55 or after 4 p.m. in NYC just yet.”
I noticed that too I think the site is using my local time. Im on AST. (Im in Bermuda)
MAJOR traffic problems visable on the chopper feed. Rumor is fatass Michael Moore is en route. Good. Own it douchbag.
Mic check! Mic check!

Oh, they’re going to head for the Brooklyn Bridge now?
Let’s see...you morons did that two months ago and how did that work out?
These are definitely not the brightest lights on the Christmas tree...
“I have heard OWS idiots saying they wanted to relive the 60s;
I’m watching/listening to livestream....

The cameraman was excited about how many people are marching. He said, “I can feel the ground moving!”
The guy next to him said, “That’s the subway.”
Cameraman replied, “Um...oh okay.”
Yeah, I’m watching too and I thought that was hilarious.
These people are soooo impressed with themselves.
According to reports on the radio, there are a couple of hundred protestors on the LaSalle Street bridge in Chicago, supporting OWS. Seems to me all of these protests have been given very loose guidelines as far as what they can do, when and where. The Tea Party gatherings were always limited to a specific place within time limits. The bureaucracies in the big cities are all filled with Dems, that’s why it is so.....
Even Houston managed to get about 500 of ‘em together today.
They’ve had about 15 to 20 of them in recent days and the local media barely covers them. They’ve only been in the news a couple of times - when a few of them have tried to jam a bank and a courthouse and got arrested.
I’ve snooped on their Facebook page a couple of times. I love to watch them whine about not getting any media coverage.
Hey now, he’s documenting HISTORY, dontchyaknow?/sarc
