NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) The loss of their camp at Zuccotti Park doesnt seem to be slowing down the Occupy Wall Street movement as protesters are calling for a national day of direct action on Thursday.
It all starts with a rally in Liberty Square starting at 7 a.m. to put an end to Wall Streets reign of terror.
They plan on gathering at 16 subways stations around New York City to take their message to the trains.
Finally, they say tens of thousands of protesters will end the day in Foley Square followed by a march to the Brooklyn Bridge to mark the two month anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Obama’s base is getting more restless...Good luck Obama! I hope these assholes stay in the park right up to the elections!
I’ll bet A.N.S.W.E.R. is using it’s same old mailing lists to drum up support here. It’s my take this effort is using the same tactics to get folks out, union payola, college class credits, possibly minimal hires paid for by welfare.
These people are not out there because of a fire in the belly. The leaders are, but many of the others are gaining personally in some way.
Nothing like a molotov cocktail through a department store window to win friends and influence people.
“direct action” = Night sticks, mace and skunk spray. It fits the situation.
Please do this OWS guys. Make it as violent as possible - that will really cause the public to rally to your cause.
Well, I think there’s likely an aspect of that here. It’s still driven by a core of the socialist activist elite IMO.
Direct action probably not including job-seeking (or -doing).
Ooooh, a gathering, then a march. Scary.
ANSWER is still around. They were founded by Workers World Party in 2003. An offshoot of WWP (Party for Socialism and Liberation) now officially controls them. Workers World Party is a major organizer of the "Occupy Wall Street" slimefest.

“Day of action”?
Is this different “action” than sitting around smoking weed and pooping on the sidewalk?
I think the reason The Great Spineless Mayor of New York took a stand against this a-holes is that he was ordered to by his butt-buddy Barry.
Note: the page (on the Workers World Party website) with this photo has recently been removed.
But here's other evidence of his speaking at the event:
"Among the many speakers were elected representativesU.S. Rep. Charles Rangel and New York City Council members Charles Barron and Margarita Lopezwho have bucked their party to come out against the war. Barron has also introduced a Troops Out Now resolution in the City Council."--Workers World Party

Thanks ETL.
You know, it’s amazing how much information is out there regarding these organizations, and yet the Tea Party gets the rectal probe and the Worker’s World name isn’t even mentioned by the media.
And where is Obama?
Wall Streets reign of terror includes providing 25% of New York’s budget.
