White House responds to removal of Occupy protesters (Hussein for local control now?)
Washington comPOST ^ | 11/16/11

Q: On another domestic matter, does the president have any reaction to the way the Occupy Wall Street protesters were removed, how that was handled?

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney: He’s aware of it, obviously, from the reports. And our position and the president’s position is that obviously every municipality has to make its own decisions about how to handle these issues, and we would hope and want, as these decisions are made, that it balances between a long tradition of freedom of assembly and freedom of speech in this country and obviously of demonstrating and protesting, and also the very important need to maintain law and order and health and safety standards, which was obviously a concern in this case.

Mac daddy is a pathlogical liar and has lost track of all the lies he told.

For me though it is simple to keep track of his lies, When he opens his mouth to speak it will always be a lie.

This is just one more reason why I believe Obama isn’t as big a socialist as people say he is. He is an incredible opportunist which is even worse, IMO.

Do you think they really want one? They want to be paid a minimum wage of $20/hour FOR DOING NOTHING. They don’t want to work...they want to bang on their drum all day.

Freedom of assembly does not mean taking over public lands.

"...every municipality has to make its own decisions...that it balances between a long tradition of freedom of assembly and freedom of speech"

These freedoms do not include the freedom to rape, defecate in public, molest children, sell drugs or attack law enforcement.

"He wore the title of Big Liar and yet he never stopped battling for propaganda to be as accurate as possible. He preferred being cynical and brutal to being caught in a lie.

"His lies were more in the nature of those equivocacies and evasions by which government spokesmen everywhere seek to 'protect' the 'national interest' (and protect and glorify their leaders)"

(Historian Mark Weber on Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's Minister of Propaganda)

J. Goebbels Carney is getting slicker every day in his job as Obama's personal propaganda secretary. Everything that comes out of Carney's mouth should be viewed in the light of the historian's notations above.

Carney is not as nerdish and effeminate as he looks (Goebbels had similar physical characteristics). He, like Goebbels, is astute, tough, and has rapidly acquired the necessary talents imperative for a successful government propagandist.

The subservient DC and national press corpses allow Carney to get away with his lies and spin just as much as Germany's press and populace (and indeed, much of the world's) allowed Goebbels to get away with his as long as he did.

If J. Goebbels Carney was not perfectly performing his task as Obama's protector/buffer and propaganda window to the world he would have been long gone.

Do you really think so, Leni?

I attribute the lack of coverage on the lies of Hussein and his regime to be more akin to adulation by the media and their desire to please their cult leader—they WANT to help him, they’re not necessarily being FOOLED by him.

To me, this makes it worse: the media (and I mean nearly ALL of the media, including local newspapers and tv stations) desire to see Hussein keep his hold on power. And so they ignore all (or nearly all) coverage that might hurt him.

I emphasize LOCAL because the NATIONAL is easy for everyone to see. But ask yourself, in your local paper, how often have you seen:

Solyndra
Fast and Furious
record poverty rates
higher gas prices
highter food prices
disparaging remarks about Israel’s leader
Iran’s continued nuclear buildup
troops and innocent civilians killed in Iraq

VERSUS:
alleged bad behavior by Herman Cain
Rick Perry’s brain fart
“Republicans” blocking a new stimulus bill

I can tell you: my locale has a left wing bias that is incredible...the papers, tv news, even the “news radio” station that carries Rush Limbaugh.

"....If J. Goebbels Carney was not perfectly performing his task as Obama's protector/buffer and propaganda window to the world he would have been long gone."

You got that right!

".....This is indeed the peculiar thing about totalitarianism, and what distinguishes it from mere tyranny (or from contemporary authoritarian states).

"Think of ancient Rome, for example. As far as they were concerned, you were free to think what you wanted, so long as it didn't threaten state power.

"There was no need for the tenured to come up with fancy ideologies to legitimize the lust for power, or to reach into the individual soul and try to control its very existence. No one was crucified for political incorrectness, nor were there any low-tech lynchings for having racially impermissible thoughts. ............

".........ThereforeI think it is accurate to say that the underlying purpose of ideology is to render the wrong right and the lie truth. It magically allows the means to justify the ends, since the utopian goal is so beautiful. ..."

"...I should add that this can be a very subtle process, especially in the non-totalitarian west, where ideology, for the most part, isn't imposed, but rather, seduces and hypnotizes.

"For what is ideology but a substitute reality, or anti-world? It is a pseudo reality, like scientism, or materialism, or leftism, something superimposed on the world.

Eventually the world is no longer perceived at all. Either it is filtered through the ideology, or critical aspects of reality excluded by the ideology aren't even seen (say, the spiritual world). ......"

"Do you really think so, Leni?"

I'm not sure what the end point is in your post. I agree with all you mentioned regarding the media. Having been a professional writer during my career, I've been analyzing, critiqueing and exposing the basic techniques of the leftist media and accomplished propagandists for much of my adult life.

However, my comments about Propaganda Secretary J. Goebbels Carney stand as written. I find it possible to expose Carney for the sly little Obama-ite twerp he is, and be familiar with the controlled media at the same time.

The adept Obama administration, including J. Goebbels Carney, is also able to pat its head and rub its belly at the same time....i.e., perpetrating the most egregious crimes against the Constitution and the American people on one hand while spinning, lying and glossing it all over through cunning, glib mouthpieces like Jay Carney on the other hand.

So, my short answer is "yes" to your question to me.....and "yes" to the rest of your perpective post.

Great post, Matchett.

Extremely enlightening on what's behind the all-encompassing tissue of lies that the Obama administration hides behind like a deadly viper coiled unseen on an ivy-covered branch.

It's wonderful that this thread contains so many cerebral points of information on things assaulting our eyes and ears which we HAVE to recognize...... and HAVE to educate ourselves on.....or we will become hardened and inured to the subtle Orwellian warfare being waged by the Obama administration's Ministry of Propaganda against us, the American citizenry, virtually every day.

Maybe I should have said it like this: “You can’t rape the willing.” In this case, the media is WILLING to be raped by the Hussein regime—they rarely if ever put up a fight.

So I see your point about Carney being a toadie in the fashion of Goebbels, and yes I agree he is a pure liar in that manner.

But even if he weren’t such a propagandist it wouldn’t matter, with such a willing amplifier as this current pro-Hussein media, would it?

Look at how honest and straight forward Tony Snow was when HE was Bush’s press secretary...the media still exhibited a hatred and bias against Bush. Look at how deceitful and idiotic Gibbs and Carney are—liars extraordinaire—and the media rolls over like submissive puppies and wet themselves.

Maybe we’re saying the same thing in different ways. :)
