Was this sober political analysis, or merely an MSMer pining for the good old days of Speaker Pelosi?
On Morning Joe today, touting a Politico Pelosi puff piece about her "golden touch," Mike Allen claimed it was "very possible" that Democrats would retake the House majority in 2012.

Politico is proving to be the MSNBC of media organizations.
If the Republicans nominate a loser, then, yes, it is very possible that the DemonRATS will take the House again.
The electorate put Mr. Obama in office in spite of his involvement with Bill Ayers, Reverend Wright, associations with Communists, wealth re-distribution rhetoric, his desire for a “national security force” that’s just as
well-funded as the military, his “hope and change” campaign where hope and change was never defined.
It seems awfully true that the very same electorate, which was swayed by the press then, will be swayed once again by that very same press.
It might very well be, once again, that adolescent psychotics will be voting for adolescent psychotics and pushing them over the top to power.
IMHO
I am not among the downtrodden...I recognize the reality that we must be devoted to defeating Hussein. The worst RINO would not be as bad as the commie.
Very possible Mike Allen will get the mental help he needs.
What has Boner done to keep the speakership?
Its the Senate going GOP, Mike.
The GOP won all those State houses and that killed redistricting.
Even if the lib lefties sustain a crushing blow they will not go away! Unless the next President can appoint at least two ultraconsevatie SCOTUS and the check and balances made untamperable.
Otherwise, they will weasel their way back in and continue their mission to put the last nail in the coffin that is our Constitutional Republic!
Hopefully not but I havent seen House Republicans do much good with their majority, except a couple of investigations.
Otherwise getting control just allowed Obama to make ‘the Republican congress’ the bad guy, something that couldnt work for him last year. Now he has all the magic fixes that will fix everything, he just didnt have didnt think of them last year yet.
Republicans better :
A) start fighting back
or
B) convince voters Obama controls congress, much like Pelosi did with Bush in 2007 and 2008.
“On Morning Joe today” well that answers the question of whether it was pure BS or not. Next thread for me.
They also have the MSM to give them a huge lift.
But! But! But! Some elite few here at FR say the MSM is on a deathwatch!!!
Agree. Look at the recent election in Ohio; the good citizens were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to free themselves from the iron grip of their unions and what do they do? They revoke the very law that gave them control of their government back. Never mind that they're clueless on how they are now going to get their costs under control. To quote the great philosopher Forrest Gump, “stupid is as stupid does”. Go figure...
This is the goal of the ‘congress sucks’ movement going on in the media and among friends on social media. Notice, no one was posting ‘congress sucks’ posts on Facebook 18 months ago.
If there does become ‘a throw the bums out’ movement, it will be our people losing seats exclusively, because the Dems pretty much bottomed out last year and mostly only maintained their safe blue seats.
Our side needs to combat this with friends to keep blame where it needs to be...the DC ruling class..not freshman lawmakers.
“It is also very possible that my pet goldfish will attend Harvard next semester. Is this allen creature using crack?”
Is your goldfish a Muslim financed by George Soros?
