Perry won the “debate” going away. His no aid to any country without reviewing commitments and agreements, was spot on. Even Israel. A great answer. Romney was worse of the bunch. He only talks in generalities and tells you how bad Obama has been and he would do better when he’s president. blah, blah, blah. Never with specifics. He was terrible again. Perry going away. Faux News will say their boy Romney won and Perry lost. Same shyt. Different day.
Absolutely right, AIT. Cain people, please get on this. We want our man to excel, and this will ice the Cain cake. Foreign policy is crucial. Still, the bar was hit by Cain tonight. He did fine. He must do better.
LOL
You mentioned this way back at post 80, but I just came onto this thread.
The only funny thing I’ve seen Steve Colbert do in a long time was this thing where he investigated the claim that foreign workers do the jobs Americans won’t do.
The truth is Americans won’t do those jobs ... farm work, hard labor, etc.
Colbert was out in this field saying, ‘isn’t there any corn in the shade?’ It was pretty funny.
Newt was fun to watch. I loved the way he started every one of his answers. The man is steely cool under pressure.
I truly mean that!
A lot of people seemed to hear it the way you did. :)
Ann Coulter said she was sick of Newt attacking the questioners. Just answer the question, she said.
She also said that Perry should drop out and give his money to Romney so .....
Ditto!
Since the start of these debates you'd always find her interrupting to get her point across even when not sought for. She did it twice tonight but it didn't work. Very annoying a sometimes almost childish.
I totally forgot and watched UFC, anything exciting? The UFC fight lasted one minute four seconds, so that wasn’t too exciting :(
Sorry, Jane... I was under the mistaken belief that the National Guard members were people. Thank you for correcting my obvious error.
Have observed that he gets a little grin on his face as the moderators ask him a question.
If Romney needs money that bad hes toast..
Michigan/Utah/MASS/CA/New Hampshire Toast...
Gingrich takes these know-nothings to the woodshed kicking and screaming every time. Does my heart good. Gingrich seems to be the only one who gets the rigged set up they're in, in these farces they call "debates.".
I’m done with the FOX Neocon Channel (FNC). Ever since they buckled on Beck, they lost my interest.
Besides, who needs FOX if you have FR ?
A candidate who can only speak in generalities, and who assures us, without any proof to back him up, that he’ll do better than the last guy. Didn’t we just watch this movie in 2008?
Romney is nothing more than Obama-by-Proxy.
Coulter the anorexic still has hurt feelings over her rejection by that morbidly obese guy...If Newt puts on another 50 pounds, he might have a chance.
Coulter is out of it completley. She has totally jumped the shark. I don’t take a thing she says seriously, any longer.
I would love to see her debate Newt once, now that would be truly fun!
Perry did great. He prepared for the debate by running. Probably got some oxygen going to his brain.
I am so happy that he did really, really well.
And, not that it matters, but he’s the best lookin’ guy up there.
“Fellow Herman Cain supporters: Don’t shoot the messenger...”
I am a strong Cain supporter and I agree and w/your critique of his performance tonight; it was reasonable and fair. I noticed early on in the campaign he was weak on foreign policy. He has improved since then; but, still has a ways to go to be in the same league w/Newt, Romney or even Huntsman (whose policy stance I disagree with; but, he has knowledge and his own logic to support it).
Like you, I believe Cain is capable of improvement and will do so. The main reason I like Cain is that he is passionate about his Conservative beliefs and is willing to stand up and fight for them. He connects w/people. That is a “gift” and something neither Newt nor Romney will ever be able to do; despite their knowledge and experience in governing.
