Sam Stellatella, a three-position player in the 1950s for Penn State, is trying to raise funds for Jerry Sandusky's legal defense.

Stellatella has donated money and has urged other former players to do the same.

"I told him he's going to need a million dollars to defend himself," the 73-year-old Stellatella told the Associated Press. "He called me back and said, `What am I going to do with this money?' I said, `Use it for your lawyer because you're going to need it.'"

Be patient.

ex-PS Pres Graham Spanier

Tried to Google some of his 'writings'. Didn't find much of anything.

But, then again, half the country thought OJ was innocent.

I didn’t think OJ was innocent, but I also didn’t think the jury would convict him either.

Raising money for Sandusky makes me wonder about the Penn State alums.

The talk ends up centering on Paterno because he’s the only one worth debating. The only argument regarding the other guys is what the best means of punishment is; with Paterno you still find FReepers willing to defend the guy. If there’s a defense, there’s going to be an attack - that’s all.

Some have conjectured that an old guy like Paterno was a relic of the “old morals” and “moral judgements” whereby homosexualty was considered a no-no.

Whereas Spanier wanted to make it totally acceptable.

JoePa of The Old Days also was not able to perceive the evil designs of a predator like Sandusky——but you can bet your boots Spanier knew what Sandusky was up to.

Holy *sh!t* !!

Someone has to stop this "automated ad placement based on keyword association stuff.

On your first link above (http://www.mediaite.com/online/local-sportswriter-suggests-investigation-that-jerry-sandusky-pimped-boys-out-to-rich-donors/) I found the following ad on the sidebar:

"For everyone who truly cares about kids" by McDonalds, advertising *fruit* in their *Happy Meals*.

And the slogan? "Changing together".

Ouch.

I hope not.

The victims will receive much more closure and vindication from a conviction.

I have to hand it to the Brain Trust at Ped State. They have replaced the Eagles as the most loathed team in the country.

You’re right, my mistake. I thought that they were referring to the guy who walked in on it. I need to wake up more before I post!

Thanks for the link.

Now isn’t that interesting-——Spanier was approved for the president’s job DESPITE recommendations against it by those who knew of his push to normalize homosexuality.

Those who voted to approve Spanier should also be investigated——they are in deep, deep doo-doo.

What did Spanier offer for a vote to approve him for the job?

“Paterno is the one who reported this crap and no one did anything about it.

Why is the news so much about this guy and not about the school administrators who did nothing and Sandusky who raped?”

The rationalization in this matter is astounding. We are talking about a sexual assault of a minor that occurred in a locker room on campus not some minor drinking incident or something. Joe Paterno IS Penn State. He should have immediately called the police to investigate. Would that have been so difficult?

They all tried to cover it up or kick the can down the road and now they are all going to face the music. The stupid assistant coach should have done the same thing.

People are worrying about a coach’s legacy over the welfare of minor children who were sexually assaulted because the people who had an opportunity to do something about it failed miserably.

Paterno didn't report it. He told Curley that a big stink was coming if they couldn't keep McQueary quiet.
