Former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky has been charged with sexually abusing eight children, with something like a dozen more also claiming they were victimized. That's horrible. Powerful PSU figures appear to have attempted to cover up what they knew. That makes it even worse.
But if one rumor turns out to be true, this may become a story too awful to compare to any other.
There's been nothing reported by an investigative journalist or law enforcement official so far, but a handful of media members are talking about investigations into whether Sandusky may have shared some of his victims with other adult males.
From two days ago, here's Dan Bernstein of CBS Chicago:
@dan_bernstein FYI: names are being x-checked w/Sandusky's Second Mile, and there are other older adult men with "curious" relationships. Only the start.
Thursday morning, Mark Madden, a Pittsburgh radio host who wrote a story seven months ago envisioning Sandusky's downfall, went on WEEI's Dennis & Callahan Morning Show to discuss the scandal. At the 7:15 mark here, he's asked about the "next shoe to drop." Here are his remarks:
I can give you a rumor, and I can give you something I think might happen. I hear there's a rumor that there will be a more shocking development from the Second Mile foundation. And, hold on to your stomachs because this is gross, I'll use the only language that I can, that Jerry Sandusky and Second Mile were pimping out young boys to donors. This is being investigated by two prominent columnists as I speak.
Madden also speculates it'll be revealed that Sandusky was told to retire as part of a cover-up.
CBS Sports' Gregg Doyel tweeted the following later in the morning, appearing to cite a source besides Madden:
@greggdoyelcbs I'm told Penn's atty general has this sick Sandusky rumor on the radar. Warning, awful read http://t.co/Wy4uiuiD
We can hope none of this is true, but multiple outlets are saying it's being investigated. If it is, let's then hope investigators are able to find it never happened.

Which I believe is why the DA in 1998 was doing it with him and why after listening to a tape where he confessed and said he was sorry to the mother admitting it, that DA refused to charge him and, disappeared from the country three days later.
I just watched the presser with the PSU interim coach..several times the guy ducked questions..said the university told him not to comment..he was asked what he knew, and when he knew it..but it seems to me that he should have been asked directly, did you know or suspect anything..and if he’s clean, he should come out and say that he knew or suspected nothing..and if he can’t say that..then he shouldn’t be coaching..
If what Madden believes is true, then there should be no Penn State football for at least five years.
Two predictions:
1) The list is 98% influential Democrats.
2) When it breaks, the press will:
a) focus on the two Republicans
b) attack the Republicans for "homophobia"
The Press is the ProblemTM
NO cheers, unfortunately.
I bet Sandusky off’s himself. And if he does, no tears will be shed for him and probably a bunch of other perps will breath a sigh of relief.
I don’t think Saturday’s game is going to happen. I think there is going to be a riot in the stadium, and a potential safety concern for fans and players alike.
Thousands upon thousands of comments at ESPN, and trying to find the word ‘homosexual’ is like trying to find a needle in a haystack...
All of ‘em.
A hundred years ago, Sandusky would have been found hanging by his neck from a lamp post the following morning.
No, but at least he could redeem himself a tiny bit, if he names names of who was involved, before he offed himself.
It does only in the sense that pederasty involves molesting boys

if an INSTITUTION fails to act to stop behavior such as this, the INSTITUTION deserves to suffer the consequences. keeping this secret for this long indicates a systemic problem, derived from protecting its athletic program. It’s lamentable that PSU grads and and students have to be tarred with this brush, but the University clearly is culpable here.
hopefully the LEOs are looking up lists of prominent donors who are also registered sex offenders.
Sandusky was married, and I think still is.
“my question is how many members of the board of trustees, now making decisions, knew about this...”
I have been posting and updating this list over the days.
People we know that knew Sandusky raped little boys.

No. In fact, his defenses were the "stud" teams. He made Penn State "Linebacker U."
LOTS of suspicious activities with young boys. Those that didn't know for sure were certainly suspicious.
