Former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky has been charged with sexually abusing eight children, with something like a dozen more also claiming they were victimized. That's horrible. Powerful PSU figures appear to have attempted to cover up what they knew. That makes it even worse.
But if one rumor turns out to be true, this may become a story too awful to compare to any other.
There's been nothing reported by an investigative journalist or law enforcement official so far, but a handful of media members are talking about investigations into whether Sandusky may have shared some of his victims with other adult males.
From two days ago, here's Dan Bernstein of CBS Chicago:

Thursday morning, Mark Madden, a Pittsburgh radio host who wrote a story seven months ago envisioning Sandusky's downfall, went on WEEI's Dennis & Callahan Morning Show to discuss the scandal. At the 7:15 mark here, he's asked about the "next shoe to drop." Here are his remarks:
I can give you a rumor, and I can give you something I think might happen. I hear there's a rumor that there will be a more shocking development from the Second Mile foundation. And, hold on to your stomachs because this is gross, I'll use the only language that I can, that Jerry Sandusky and Second Mile were pimping out young boys to donors. This is being investigated by two prominent columnists as I speak.
Madden also speculates it'll be revealed that Sandusky was told to retire as part of a cover-up.
CBS Sports' Gregg Doyel tweeted the following later in the morning, appearing to cite a source besides Madden:

We can hope none of this is true, but multiple outlets are saying it's being investigated. If it is, let's then hope investigators are able to find it never happened.
Where in the story does it say that?
If the rumor is true, then there could be men molesting unprotected children right now. If so, they need to be stopped and punished.

You know this thing is getting uglier and uglier. Rush was saying that Sandusky was kind of a joke in College Station, that some ice cream store had a Sandusky special, which was an upside down double dip cone of banana flavored ice cream with the cone on the top.
That's not the point.
Why on Earth would you HOPE the rumor is true? I want nothing more that to find out there are no more victims and see the guilty (every one of them, including Paterno and McQueary) punished.
Any caring human being would feel the same way.
That is a really sad, but really believable story. What year was it?
The wife heard a report that the Penn State Football Program was a $80 million dollar a year industry.
For that kind of money the motto might be "protect THE PROGRAM no matter what happens".
That lady principal probably had a son.
Too much of this goes on under the radar. I think people, myself included, want to think the best of people, and that even mild suspicions could not possibly be true. Then WHAMMO, reality check comes in when they find the truth.
I have never had a head on WHAMMO impact to known for certain about anyone in particular, but have had creepy vibes over a couple of people. Unfortunately, I cannot turn them in based upon a creepy feeling.
One of those creeps made a comment to my young child once that I thought was inappropriate. The way I explained it to my 12 yo child was by asking if my husband would say something like that to one of their friends. My child knew that the answer was no and respected my wishes to stay away from that guy from then on. We are no longer in the same circles, so I do not know whatever happened with him.
I’m willing to bet that the wife knew. We knew a woman child molester, who molested her own daughters. We think that the husband watched.
Maybe then the principal’s tears were not for her own sons, but for her job and what was happening on her watch.
That isn't true. The Creamery had (since removed) a flavor named after Sandusky. The article had an incidental picture of a dish of ice cream as described. But it had nothing to do with the story.

Swimming has been through a huge scandal, lot of coaches exposed. My daughter had one coach, an older man, who used to divide the girls into lanes, saying the girls with big titties in this lane and the girls with little titties in the other lane, then he used to put one foot up on the block and stand there and give instructions so the girls had to look up at him, and up his shorts at the same time.
I believe universities should pay gift taxes on the value of the tuition, room and board and all other benefits provided by the university to scholarship athletes.
I don’t, I never said I did. Why you would want to read that in I do not know.
When my daughter was recruited and offered scholarships, we were told that we would have to pay taxes on the money, but we never received a W-2 for it.

In order for there to be any sort of a "list" of people involved in a child prostitution ring, there has to be a child prostitution ring. And thus, more victims.
I want this rumor to be false, I don't want there to be any more victims.

I want to know the truth. I want every person involved to be punished. But I do NOT want there to BE any more victims.
Understand?
If true Sandusky and his friends need to be castrated and imprisoned.
