Germany has put its Air Force Tornado warplanes in intensive training for a possible attack on targets in Iran, after taking part last week in a joint drill with the Israeli Air Force and other NATO members at the Italian Decimomannu air base on Sardinia.
Iran, for its part, is gearing up for a gloves-off reprisal against its attackers...

Those Germans sure do make good bunkers.
Given the amt of time NATO took to get the job done in Libya, Iran could take a long while and victory isn’t certain.
Ahhhh, I get it, they are training in secret and they aren’t going to tell anyone so as to keep the element of surprise. Good plan!
Only because Iran's missiles can now hit The Fatherland.
In 1991, Germany's participation in Desert Storm was deliberately low-key, for fear of upsetting nearby Israel. That aircraft now wearing Luftwaffe insignia are preparing to assist Israel is surreal indeed.
My first thought when I saw the article as well.
Granted, Ahmadinutjob has been up to no good for some time and bears close and continuous scrutiny, but I take Debka reports with giant grains of salt.
Their nuke weapon program is buried too deep for anyone, even ourselves with atomic weapons to destroy.
And you know this tidbit how?
Whom is going to give them overflight permission?
The Saudis already have — some time ago.
Surreal?
I think the German almost century old investment in the state of Isreal, which began in the 1930’s with the Transfer Agreemement, is now beyond all calculation.
If you think that just because our American contribution to Isreal tops the list of our own beneficence, that Isreal was not built by others, poorer, yet much more generous you are wrong.
It’s DEBka. Nuff said.
Debka: far more dependable and honest than UK tabloids. Thanks to Germany for being a good ally.
Well, okay, a reservation for one UK paper: The Spectator. It’s not too bad. The rest are trash.
Thanks drewh and familyop.
Not a chance.
This is Debka.
Could be training for Syria, provided that this is true at all.

Doesn't matter if Obama chooses to be involved or not.
The US military will come under attack throughout the Gulf region. Iran will attack Gulf oil fields as well.
If Israel attacks, the US WILL BE INVOLVED and will have to finish it.
Maybe he will as soon as he gets back from his 250th vacation at the tax payers expense.
Guido Westerwelle... heh... reminds me of a joke from Charlie Weaver years ago, on Hollywood Squares. “Charlie, is it true that there’s a connection between the royal families of Greece and Sweden?” “Yes, and we owe that to our friend, Sven Papadopoulos.”
There have been reports that the aircraft ID codes for the IDF have been programmed into Saudi air defense so that if an overflight was launched without permission, the Saudis would know whom they were and could make the appropriate excuses to the muslim world, that's all.
Regarding Iran's burial of its nuke program, Iran is the most tunneled country in the world, has been for many hundreds of years, it's hot there. The most prestigious civil engineering program in Iran is in underground structures.
Guess who used to be president of that engineering society? That's right, Achmed-i-nejad himself, that'e his professional field, mining and civil engineering.
Your turn to throw some of your researched tidbits in.
