I read in one thread that a FRpeeper was under the impression that tonight's debate would only be online and was disappointed, so I wanted to let everyone know that it will be on TV as well.
Check your cable/satellite TV listings for CNBC at 8pm.

And THAT is why Cain said “like someone said” rather than referring to Romney by name. Cain is smarter than people give him credit for.

I can’t wait to see NEWT take on Obama in one of those debates. The first one should be on pay-per-view. It would raise enough money to pay off the national debt.

Its tough when you are nothing but eye candy and you get exposed in front of the nation, but enough about Cramer.

I agree about Santorum.
He could use his experience to let the voters know he is perceptive
and sees ahead for crisis (good quality in a President).
However, he sounds like Bruce Springsteen’s song Glory Days
about a middle age guy who was a star baseball player in HS

The debate is a Romney lovefest from the mods.

I have no problem with people who stutter. The difference is I dont think Romney has a stutter. I believe he does it intentionally to try to act more everyday and human. He sounds kind of like Carville without the southern accent.

Agreed. Media bias; never watching CNBC for financial news again! I have never watched this channel (knowingly) before - for good reason it turns out. This is one of a thousand channels on my cable package. If one cent of my cable bill goes to this station, it is highway robbery.

A poorly moderated debate makes our candidates look bad like our candidates are complicit in wasting the audiences time. Could the debate organizers be setting up lousy debates on purpose to make our candidates look bad?
The only problem with that thinking is that so far the best candidates are doing the best at these debates and helping themseves. Gingrich would not have been gaining if it weren't for these debates.
Any Republican who wants to win the nomination should be able to go into the lion's den and stare the lion down while explaining what they believe. Some candidates are doing that, others are not.

I like Santorum, but I really wish he’d stop with the “I was leading...” stuff. It doesn’t help him and looks really unseemly. A better answer would have been, “we are a country founded on the principle of individual liberty as opposed to centralized control: not just because it works best—which it always does—but because liberty is right and the lack of it is wrong. In the past I pushed for X and Y to deal with problems X’ and Y’ not just to solve a problem, but because of this principle that should underlie everything we do. For this current problem, the effective, the moral, the right solution is Z.”
