Herman Cains worst enemy

Herman Cain’s worst enemy...

It’s his top aide and chief of staff Mark Block. This is now the second time he’s popped off with bogus assertions and insinuations. Not ready for prime time — or 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Boot Block off the Cain Train, he’s causing a derailment.

AGREED. No need to “fire” Block (and invite a feeding frenzy). Just make him go away. Don’t let us see or hear from him again. Bring in a male and female to replace him as the public faceS of the campaign, and Smoking Man will soon be forgotten.

I too am concerned he wants the consolation prize from Romney. I think ol’ Romney thinks he needs to pull a McCain and get a Tea partier to shore up the base for the general. Who better than Herman?

I will support Herman for POTUS or VP for Newt, but I will NOT support him as VP for Romney. I will do a write-in. Romney will NOT be elected as POTUS in 2012. Period.

"I don’t know if Block needs to be fired, but Cain probably does need a more professional campaign manager."

Aren't the "professionals" that got us into this mess in the first place?

Remember, our Founding Fathers were REGULAR people. REGULAR people respond to REGULAR people.

Why not just ask Steve "the schmuck" Schmidt "professional" to take over?

While we’re at it, can we demand POLITICO fire their chief of staff for allowing that Kardashian kid, or whoever the hell he is, to remain on their web site listed as a “reporter” when he no longer is employed?

I mean, they’re a NEWS site, right? And they cannot even get their own STAFF pages accurate? Makes one wonder what else on their site is totally wrong.

Yeah, I agree. Mark needs to step down or find another role in this campaign. I know he means well, but he’s over his head.

Has Michelle come out in SUPPORT of any declared candidate? She ripped Perry, I know...but I haven’t heard her support any DECLARED candidate.

>>> He and his people just appear amateurish.

Good point.

Remember, Obama campaign appeared slick and professional all the way to the White House. Now, he looks and acts every part the foolish amateur that he really is.

Mark Block has proven himself to be a buffoon.

Hiring and retaining Block reflects upon Cain. Block should not have been hired in the first place and he should have been fired at least a week ago. The guy is incompetent.

have you seen this, big game changer, the serial accusers are getting stomped out as we type...
Bialek is next.

The big problem for Cain is that there are no others he can trust. He does additional staff. It will happen.

Buck up there ole boy...

This battle is to the bitter end.

No ... don't get rid of him. He reaches a segment of the population in a personal way that is at the heart of "grassroots". Not being afraid to smoke on camera, as a personal choice, is just one example of this. Cain should not be anxious to lose that heart string. It would, however, be advantageous to sit down with Block and give him the "measure twice and cut once" speech. Block should double check his facts before voicing them. Even innocent misspeak can hurt a campaign.

It may come as a surprise to you, but there are people who are both conservative and professional. I will bet that Cain knows some of them.

YOu’re right, our founding fathers were regular people, and I wonder what the Democrat smear machine would have done to them. We live in a horrible world run by evil people. I don’t know the answer anymore, and the sad fact is the American people, at least a large number of them (who unfortunately do vote) cannot figure out truth from fiction.

Here’s the think that ticks me off, even Cain supporters are on here and some agree that Block is not the best “face” of this campaign, But the way this campaign is being run is revolutionary.

Cain’s campaign has used social media more and better than any other candidate.

Of course, now this thread has become a magnet for attacks against Cain by Perry supporters. Cain has a very strong team, JD Gordon and Rich Lowery are excellent. Cain has a very strong ground game. His support is growing, his fundraising is booming.

Well spoken , Jeff. Herman needs stronger people on his side. THe lawyer that appeared with him last night seems like a good start. Keep Mark on if you must..but on a very short leash. They need some help fast in this area...and I read last night that they tried to get someone else reputable on board...but that they turned him down because of these allegations. It sickens me to know end tht a good man is being torn down by a bunch of either hypersensitive or lying gold-digging bimbos. Herman is a good man, looks for the best in people...but not realizing that there is another, very ugly side of the coin. I would wonder if Sarah could recommend someone. I am serious.
