Herman Cains worst enemy

Herman Cain’s worst enemy...

It’s his top aide and chief of staff Mark Block. This is now the second time he’s popped off with bogus assertions and insinuations. Not ready for prime time — or 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

I am for Herman Cain all the way.

But this could hurt. I trust Michelle's reporting. Cain needs to get read of Mark Block! Read the article there is more garbage this man is attached to.

OHhhh I hope you are right! This really bothered me.

I want to see Herman Cain as president.

But Michelle usually does a very good job of digging.

I hope she is wrong this time.

Well, maybe not his WORST enemy.... But if Cain had any political sense, he would have fired the dolt immediately after the Perry accusations.

I agree that Mark needs to shut up...it does not help Herman and makes him look unqualified....

But I am standing with Herman— I don’t expect perfect— But I will Always vote for someone who makes errors over any of the other inside the beltway corrutpocrats!

I don’t know if Block needs to be fired, but Cain probably does need a more professional campaign manager.

I do have to admit that Block’s not vetting and insuring information is 100% correct and varifiable is getting to be very annoying.

I am firmly on the Cain Train, but he needs to have a serious come to Jesus meeting with Block and demand that before anyone officially associated with the campaign makes any announcement or accusation that it has been completely and thoroughly confirmed.

Then if Block goes off half-cocked again, can his ass immediately and publically.

WOW, Cain/Block are using the Sun Tsu campaign strategy.

And there’s all this:

The flailing about doesn’t surprise Florida Republican operative Chuck Winn, a one-time Cain supporter and founder of the Stolen Valor veterans group that exposes candidates who embellish their military records.

“I began having serious misgivings about the lack of standards and integrity on Herman’s campaign after I attended a 23 Oct meeting presided over by Mark Block and Jamie Brazil in Tampa,” Winn said in an email. “Block began by letting us know how he engineered Nixon’s 72 landslide (quite a feat since he was only 16) and then uttered some truly magnificent and marvelous hokum about a ‘Sun Tzu-based stealth strategy with an army of thousands,’ attempting to mask the absence of any coherent strategy.”

Then there’s the matter of potential lawbreaking. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel uncovered documents showing that a Block-run nonprofit, Prosperity USA, might have loaned about $40,000 to the political campaign he runs, Friends of Herman Cain, for travel and other campaign expenses. That could violate federal election regulations and tax laws.

“I just don’t see how they can justify this,” a GOP elections expert told the paper. “It’s a total mess.”

Herman Cain has campaigned on his reputation as a visionary business leader with the guts and know-how to reward what works and cut loose what doesn’t.

SunTsu Quotes:
All men can see these tactics whereby I conquer, but what none can see is the strategy out of which victory is evolved.
Sun Tzu

All war is based on deception.

All war is deception.

All warfare is based on deception.

Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent’s fate.

I don’t know, as I said, I am a Herman Cain supporter all the way!

I read a post on that site, this is what the blogger said.

“That Stolen Valor Task Force nonsense he is peddling seems to be a total front. I’ve been working Stolen Valor cases for years, and none of us in that community had ever heard of this guy until he popped out of nowhere earlier this year. He has some truth deficit issues at times.”

I really hope this is true and need someone to investigate this guy.

I watched the interview in question. When he said that this Woman’s son worked for Politico, Hannity immediately asked if he had confirmed that.

There was a pregnant pause and I could tell that Block was thinking about how to answer it...I thought, ok, tell him you are researching it because it appeared he had not confirmed it...then, in the next second or two he said that they had confirmed it, that it was the woman’s son and that he did work there.

Now we find this out.

Sorry, Mr. Cain I love you and am behind you...but this guy just does not seem honest and above board. This is not the first time he’s gone off and caused the Cain campaign to backtrack and Herman simply needs a new spokesman and campaign manager. Keep him on for the good he does...but get him out of the lime light and the major decision making role.

That’s my thoughts...and then continue on message.

My fear is that Cain and Block are running for vice president, second fiddle to Romney. Did you catch the nice words Cain said about Romney in the presser? I keep catching signals that Cain is more interested in being second banana than president.

What is she digging up? That Block should stay in the background instead of being a spokesman for the campaign? Hardly seems to be what I’d call “dirt”.

Block is the person that came up with the “upside down” campaign strategy Cain is using—build a wide base of enthusiastic supporters first, then build your ground game.

The is the exact opposite of what Karl Rove recommends (build a strong ground game in early states like Iowa, then when you win Iowa you will gain a wide base of supporters), and is the root reason conventional advisors like Rove keep saying Cain isn’t serious. Cain is serious, but Rove doesn’t understand the Block strategy.

Block is important to the campaign, but he isn’t a good, slick front person.

Almost 20% of working Americans are “evil smokers” another 25% are EX-Smokers. Does any campaign really want to vilify that large a group?

Me too, but I just can’t see him beating Obama. Out of Mitt, him and Newt, I think Cain is the least likely to beat Obama. He and his people just appear amateurish.
