Herman Cain today said that Sharon Bialek, the first woman to publicly accuse the GOP presidential candidate of sexual harassment, is a liar and that he never acted inappropriately with her.
I have had nothing but the utmost respect for any and all women as well as those who have worked under my leadership, Cain told ABC News Jonathan Karl in the ABC News/Yahoo Newsmakers interview. I can categorically say I have never acted inappropriately with anyone, period. And as far as these latest charges I reject all of those.
Cain said the charges are baseless and bogus and that the accusations are an attempt from his opponents to derail his candidacy.
When I first saw her [Bialek] I didnt even recognize her, Cain said.
This is Cains only media appearance today before his scheduled press conference later, where he will respond to new allegations of sexual harassment.

Sheesh, those puppies are as big as her head. Whenever I look at a woman who looks like that (and this is very sexist of me, I’ll admit it) I wonder to myself what tools in her arsenal she used to get what she wanted when she was a younger woman. People tend to use the gifts God gave them to get there way. If there is no silicone there, then it is logical and reasonable to assume that back in the day her looks opened a lot of doors, and many men could have been a nuisance to her.
From this I glean that, if the incident in the car even happened, it happened one of two ways:
1. She was hot and Herman was really hoping to get a piece of that (she is basically telling the truth).
2. She was used to using “it” to get what she wanted and Cain spurned her.
In summary, you don’t have the look she has (and, more importantly, what implies she looked like before she was 40) and not have it be a major part of who you are. If you are highly moral, it can be a bit of a serious nuisance. If not, it is an asset. The lower your morals, the more of an asset - that will ultimately only get you into trouble.
Well said.
Perhaps ALL Republican presidential candidates, past and present, should step forward and voice anger at the way these character assassins, with the enthusiastic assistance of the media, have attacked one of them.
They should not claim that the accused is guiltless, because they don’t know. But they do know that he is being attacked by cowardly, mostly faceless persons about something that they claim happened so long ago that few of us could remember any details, much less find a witness to stand with us.
How will America ever find good people to run for public office after this?
—Well said.—
Thanks, but in one place I said “there” when I meant “their”. ;-)
This is New America... there'll be big paydays for interviews, book deals... who knows, maybe even a reality show. Her days of being po' are over... and she KNOWS it! She looks like a woman who's just won the lottery... and in a way... she has.
agreed!
She does look very pleased with herself. She has a past that makes her allegations suspicious, and she chose an attorney who makes ME suspicious. The bad thing about this sort of thing is it makes it MORE difficult for women in the workplace. Certainly there are jerk bosses out there who DO use their power over underlings. There always have been and there always will be. By the same token there are women out there who use sex to get ahead. There always have been and there always will be.
AND there are people of both sexes who will make up stories to damage people’s reputations for a myriad of reasons. One thing I would like to see happen is for people who are behind FALSE allegations to suffer real consequences as a result.
And have you noticed that all the women who have been identified so far are white?
So whoever it is who is leaking these allegations is subtly sending a message that Herman doesn’t find black women attractive.
Black sistahs don’t like it it when black men take up with white women. If Cain were to get the nomination this would turn off the black women vote, whether it’s true or not.
“I wonder to myself what tools in her arsenal she used to get what she wanted when she was a younger woman”
They usually don’t have the same ones they had when younger. But, of course, youth has its own distinct advantages (many more advantages, actually).
To add to your points, even if there is silicone in there, it only furthers your point that she regarded her looks as an asset.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking silicone (I happen to be a fan), and I don’t think having breast implants precludes someone from being sexually harassed.
I do think that a 50 year old woman going on TV sporting heavy cleavage while accusing someone of sexual harassment is suspicious.
Gotta be silicone in there.
I’m thinking that maybe now would be a good time for Joe Paterno to report Jerry Sandusky to the police.
Cain said in an earlier ABC interview that his wife, while respecting his decision, was "scared to death". She knew what was coming.
OMG How racky
Cain should walk in to that press conference and hand out KK hats to the reporters and then when they get over that shock, ask them if they need a rope.....
Shame the bastards into silence.
Or Burger King
Remember the DUKE Rape Case? Cain is in a similar situation with a whore making up lies cuz she’s angry at life. I am sure of it.
The other “accuser” is just an overly sensative BIOTCH (the one who didn’t like having her height compared to Cain’s wife).
I can see I’d never run for politics. I’ve stubbed my toe, run over a squirrel, had more than one beer, Dear me. How dreadful.
