A former USAID worker claims Herman Cain asked her to set up dinner with a woman who attended a speech he gave in 2002, the Washington Examiner is reporting tonight.
The worker - 40-year-old Donna Donella, of Arlington - told the paper that the moment came after Cain gave a paid speech in Egypt that year. A woman in the crowd posed a query to Cain during the speech, the Examiner said. Continue Reading
Donella told them And after the seminar was over, Cain came over to me and a colleague and said, Could you put me in touch with that lovely young lady who asked the question, so I can give her a more thorough answer over dinner?
She was "suspicious of Cain's motives and delined to set up the date," the Examiner reporter wrote.
That prompted Cain to reply, "Then you and I can have dinner." Instead, some of Donella's co-workers suggested a group outing.

Yes, but we seem to forget that Cain was already married and not exactly looking for a long-term relationship. He obviously went after people he thought were vulnerable, not interested in anything more than a fling, and probably did this on many occasions with people who did not complain because it was their habit to have a one-night stand on a business trip. Don’t forget, Cain’s wife did not accompany him to DC most of the time, so he was basically a traveling salesman, footloose and fancy free.
This pattern (and he was clearly acting like a rock star, finding an attractive groupie in the audience and sending a minion to invite her out with him) may show something unpleasant about his personal morality and trustworthiness. However, what is disturbing is that on a couple of the known occasions, this seems to have involved taking advantage of a workplace inferior. In one of the settlements, it was said to be a young woman whom he had gotten drunk with at dinner; in the Bialek case, it was a job seeker.
He wasn’t planning on marrying them.
yesss!
This irritates me... if he was a Dem there would be high 5’s all around. He would have his own infomercial on at 3am, right after the Girls Gone Wild. Nobody would care.
But because he is conservative this is gonna blow up.
Next someone from 1st grade will come forward to say he peeked at her panties when she was hanging up side down from the monkey bars.
Sorry, but this is not one of the better satire stories to come from this. It’s too overtly ludicrous.
—That prompted Cain to reply, “Then you and I can have dinner.”—
That’s where this satire went over the top.
Well, I have egg on my face because the OP listed the source as "Polutico" and I just read the snippet. I thought it was a satire site. It is so ridiculous and over the top that it was only marginally funny as satire. As "real" news, it's right up there with:
White meat, that’s what it’s all about, white meat for the black rapist
Lynch the (n word)!!

The press has jumped the shark on this sexual stuff. Cain is going to come out of this stronger than ever. And his accusers are already looking petty and stupid. They are soon going to look just plain silly.
IMO.
In EGYPT???? How long until the media reports that Cain offered rice to Somali women in return for sexual favors?
Can the "media" mark "CHECK" by your name, then?
I’m waiting for the next accusation to be along the lines of attempted rape if Cain survives these anklebiters.
It’s been said before on FreeRepublic many times and it is coming to it’s fullest fruition. Politico, Gloria Allred and some bumbling lawyer with an unnamed client can now choose the Republican nominee for Leader of the Free World. And a bunch of so called conservatives will help them do it.
well, maybe it was going to be a group outing, sheesh.
Oh, I understand that it’s nothing but unsubstantiated charges and a media smear. That doesn’t mean the story itself isn’t getting legs. There’s a difference. One’s legal, the other public perception.
This morning our local talk radio show that’s been very sympathetic to Cain is sounding like they’re questioning all this. Each allegation one on its own can be knocked down, or so it seems, but there is a cumulative effect.
Hopefully at his presser in Scottsdale, Cain can tackle this appropriately.
Ditto
My point was.. if the “media” has convinced you Cain’s a player, can they count you as one turned against him.
Politico is reporting that a woman who was asked for a donation at a campaign rally felt uncomfortable. She didn’t have much money with her and felt like Cain’s campaign workers were mocking her.
Cain needs to hire Clinton to be his ambassador to woman voters.
Everyone is trying to get on the act. Bialek was apparently seen hugging Cain at a Tea Party rally. I always hug men who once assaulted me, don’t you?
