Why not? We pay for having a terrible federal government every day. Why should this be any different just because it involves lost rights instead of lost money?
Seriously, though, having Obama’s AG mumble about more gun regulation in front of a mic will accomplish two things. One: It’s bound to worry all sorts of swing-state gun owners in Pennsylvania and Ohio once word of his testimony gets around, which is all to the good for election day next year. Two: The more gun owners perk up about Holder’s testimony, the more public interest there’s bound to be in Fast & Furious. And hey — there actually is room for a smart new gun law here if Congress is willing to take it up. I call it the “DOJ Shouldn’t Walk Guns to Psychotic Mexican Drug Cartels Act of 2011.” The text reads, in full, “The DOJ shouldn’t walk guns to psychotic Mexican drug cartels.”
I’m thinking that would be a party-line vote in the House.

YOu will not hear democrat lawmakers say anything about tighter gun control laws, it is a lossing issue for them that’s why they do not bring it up.
With Fox leaking the gnarly details every now and then, that’s a secret harder for the msm to keep.
All the Repubs need to do is yell “WHY THE HELL SHOULD WE CONTROL GUNS FOR LEGAL RESIDENTS IF YOU ARE ISSUING THEM TO CRIMINALS!”

Eric Holder needs to spend the next 10-20 years sitting in a high security cell block.
Congress won’t touch a gun control bill with a ten foot pole, and Obama will be way over his head in some sort of a Presidential directive especially with this scandal. So this will do only a few possible things, all of which is good; Gun sales will again skyrocket and Obama’s fate as a one term President will be assured, and the true purpose behind the gunrunner scandal will be brought out front and center. Lastly the oath to “uphold and defend” the Constitution will be brought into question with Holder and Obama himself, and someone could go to jail as a result. In comparison, Watergate was just a coverup of a two bit robbery, and coverup is the least of this administration’s crimes.
More gun control is needed .. who would have thunk it ..

That would delight him. He would then be able to say that he can't be prosecuted for F&F because the laws preventing it were passed after the fact.

I agree with your congressman. Holder is gone he just does not know it yet. Too bad they will probably not indict him as he belongs in Leavenworth with Barry, Barney, Frank and Ben.

This was a set up. Holder sent guns to criminal in Mexico so they could JUSTIFY more gun control. Mark my words.

That statement makes too much sense-—It will never fly. In a sane world-—even in a sane Repub world-—your statement would be the “talking point” on this topic..........BUT, Repubs don’t DO talking points.
They are too out of touch and/or complicit.
