Ann Coulter makes a good point in Demonic that the Constitution was partly written to give the federal government power to put down mob uprisings, much like OWS, only in the time it was Shay's Rebellion. The Articles of Confederation didn't provide for this.

I say arrest every single one of them that isn't protesting peacefully. I have no problem with morons with a permit standing on a sidewalk. Disrupting the peace is illegal and should have consequences.
