Pig Maher Mocks Religious Conservatives: 'Who Needs The Government If You Have Jesus?'
Fox Nation ^ | Nov 5, 2011 | Josh Feldman

Posted on 11/06/2011 8:20:08 AM PST by bkopto

In his last New Rule of the evening, Bill Maher argued that Christian populism and anti-intellectualism have been steadily growing in the Republican party, and that one of the core beliefs of the religious right in America today is that “knowing things has become an affront to the all-knowing.”

Maher decided if the Republican party wanted to nominate a devoutly Christian candidate, they might as well nominate Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. Maher argued that on the football field Tebow was way in over his head, and rated his football abilities as sub-par, but it was Tebow’s Christian faith that was the main target of Maher’s jokes.

SNIP

“And there’s nothing they hate more than secular eggheads trying to fix problems like poverty and health care. Honestly, doesn’t a lot of the tea party philosophy boil down to ‘Who needs the government when you have Jesus?’”

‘Who Needs The Government If You Have Jesus?’

This is exactly why atheists cannot just be atheists and leave believers alone. They worship government. We don’t. It is two religious belief systems at war.

Maher might think he's "brilliant" but he didn't come up with this garbage.

The Communist party in the old Soviet Union did. The indoctrinators in Soviet elementary schools used to tell the kids at lunch time to close their eyes and ask God for lunch. When that didn't work out, they would then have them ask representatives from the communist party for lunch. That's how you ate lunch in school in the old Soviet Union. Sound familiar?

Hell is full of people gnashing their teeth. Scripture implies many are full of regret for shunning the faith. A simple act during life would have saved them from eternity of suffering. Bill may have fun and win on earth, but there is judgment in the life after. His fate is in his hands and God’s.

Isn’t it amazing how atheists are always so angry? Love of God...brings peace of mind even in darkest times.

“And there’s nothing they hate more than secular eggheads trying to fix problems like poverty and health care."

The "fix" Maher desires is the same kind of "oppression" that the idiot non-savant fears, only worse coming from a secular foundation. Posted this in another thread this AM, applies to this idiot non-savant as well.

‘Who Needs The Government If You Have Jesus?’

Maher is right to a certain extent. A moral nation does not require nearly as much government as an immoral one. Those who can restrain their own selfish impulses have much less need of restraint by government.

Fee: “Bill may have fun and win on earth...”

That depends on what you call fun and winning. From my experience, non-Christians tend to have much less peace and joy in this world. Angry, bitter people like Maher aren’t winning anything, not in this life or the next.

Whittacker Chambers wrote about it in the 50’s. It is God v. Man, he said. He was an ex-kgb but left because of his belief in God. This fight has been going on since Voltaire—maybe, even goes further back than that.

Maher mocks God because he is self-loathing. I would judge by his looks that he was ridiculed in childhood because he is so extremely short—which can create a extreme hatred not only for self, but for the Designer. He is taking his anger out on God, otherwise, he would have to admit that he is a short jerk.

People who make fun of others, no matter—if it is belief or looks—proves he hates who he is. I wouldn’t listen to such a pathetic person, and, I certainly wouldn’t let someone that stupid upset me.

Remember the most widely published atheist, Dr. Flew, became a Theist after 40 years of preaching on the altar of atheism.

The more Christian a nation-the more successful. Western Civ. flourished under Christianity—Renaissance and Enlightenment would never have happened.

If it wasn’t for Christianity we would be living like the people in Afghanistan—and sodomizing boys for fun. Maher loves sodomy and that is maybe why he hates Christianity. It made homosexuality and pederasty sins. Fundamentally changed the Ancient Greek and Roman practices. Channeled the sex drive into intellectual pursuit. Studies show that the more licentiousness a culture, the more primitive.

The more atheist a country—the more demonic and slaughter of 100’s of millions of their own “citizens”.

Romans 13:6
This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

"Bill Maher: Barack Obama Is A Moderate Republican By '70s Standards"

"... the radical can destroy in a day -- a moment! -- what it took centuries to build. Thus, a Bill Mahar sets himself in opposition to "the unanimous witness of the sages and saints -- throughout the world and down the ages."

On Knowing How We Know Bill Maher is an Imbecile

"In order to maintain such a preposterous view, one must be so deeply contemptuous of mankind, that it is impossible to understand how mankind could ever produce someone as great as Bill Maher. Do you see the problem? It's like trying to account for a dog that one day starts using toilet paper instead of licking its butt, pardon the French."
