We were wrong about Herman Cain and sexual harassment
http://www.washingtonpost.com ^ | 11/4/2011 | By Alexandra Petri

Maybe we were reading these sexual harassment allegations wrong.

They don’t seem to have hurt Cain at all. If anything, they’ve made him stronger. A Washington Post-ABC Poll found him still nearly tied with Romney in the polls — even after the allegations made news!

The Monday after they surfaced was a banner day for fundraising Cain. More than a million dollars of donations reportedly poured in. Maybe the Rick Perry staffer who so cleverly traveled back to the past to seed these allegations more than a decade ago should have thought harder. So far, they seem to be having the opposite of their expected effect.

“We were worried that ‘sexual harassment’ might be going too far,” someone murmurs in a bunker. “It’s a touchy subject. It’s not as clear-cut as an affair. It’s like pornography — you know it when you see it, and you try to keep it out of the office. But it turns out people enjoy a salacious sideline to their daily barrage of 2012 news.”

RE :"This is another way of saying “Have we told you lately that we have no idea what to do about the economy?” But it sounds about as good as 9-9-9 — which happens to be the time-stamp on the harassment settlement! Maybe Cain was prescient. Whatever happened, happened for America. After all, that was why Newt Gingrich had his sex scandal — because he loved his country so much!"

One of the alleged victim's settlement dates was 9-9-9 (9/99) her lawyer claimed today. Cain is driving them nuts.

Newt really did say he cheated on his wife to save the country.

Lol Cain is crazy like a fox. I was worried for a bit. When that anymous source claimed she awoke in Cain’s apartment after a night of heavy drinking.

I would more likely think it could be Bachmann, she does like to dig up dirt — tried it with Perry during a debate and it was a big fail.

Herman Cain reminds me of a latter day Elmer Gantry.

Turns out the complaint against Herman was for “discrimination and harassment.” The term “sexual” does not appear.

"My problem is even if he did everything that is alleged what exactly did he do?" He called the woman "Darling." Which made her feel uncomfortable.

LOL Ok this is funnie... the press figured they could torpedo the candidate their Obama did NOT want to face, so they did. Only we don’t just read and buy into their tripe, we can get the skinny in other places more accurately, Besides, compared to their Messiah’s former drug habit... shoot, this is as irrelevant as it can get compared to that.

Yeah they think we are morons who are blind to their manipulations. We have the country being flushed down the toilet with trillions in spending and horrid big government policies and we are supposed to trust another one of their ‘perfect candidates’ while we disregard a decent man who worked his way up from nothing over allegations and innuendo? The game is up.

This is a surprisingly straightforward article on the allegations, and the various state primary races, including numbers of staffmembers for various candidates and other interesting electioneering details like recent straw poll statistics.

What exactly are the horrible, terrible, no good, salacious allegations they are reffering to??

The 18,000 headlines with no details?

"I don’t like it when I see him gang up on and feed the monster that is the political class."

He IS the political class. The Bushes managed to co-opt mainstream Republicanism at the end of Reagan II because Dutch's people submarined him -- they wanted Bushism all along, and blocked any effort to anoint a conservative successor (for instance, creating placeholders like the earnest but slightly goofy Jack Kemp).

I would suggest software like Sony’s Vegas Movie Studio (around $30 unless there is a free version available). You could download the video from Youtube, change the subtitles and, when finished, simply upload it again to Youtube.
