I always loved Martha Reeves’ voice. She had better pipes than Diana Ross.

Yes.....and revenge is sweet!
What time is it?...It's 1634 here so it must be 1934 over in Arizona. Almost sounds like we're centuries apart, doesn't it?

Nah..
We got about 3.5 inches.
It amounted to a “nuisance storm.”
Folks in CT. got hit really bad, we were lucky.
I am sorry I haven’t been posting this past week.
I haven’t been feeling well.
I have missed you, too!

After his first album with Harris was a major commercial success, Webb decided to do it again, so he wrote and produced a second disk for
Richard Harris titled
The Yard Went on Forever.
The Yard Went on Forever
This is another multiple movement work that doesnt quite grab the listener the way MacArthur Park did. It was released as a single, but didnt do well. Its a nuclear holocaust song.
Interim
Even after 43 years, no one can figure out what this song was about.
Gayla
The Hymns from the Grand Terrace
This is another huge multiple movement song. Webb thought that working on a larger canvas would make him more relevant.
The Hive
Nasty, brutish and short. May be the best song on the album.
Lucky Me
Thats the Way it Was

I don’t like it when you are feeling badly. Hope you’ll be better before long!
Yeah...enough snow to get messy and not enough to stay in for. Bummer!
It got fairly cool here...has been nice!

Earlier in 1968, Jimmy Webb had recorded One of the Nicer Things at Dunhill and released it. The record disappeared without a trace. Now Webb had Harris sing it, and the new version was released and disappeared without a trace.
