Texas Gov. Rick Perry says America should extend work visas to allow illegal immigrants to move freely between the U.S. and their home countries _ but opposes a path to citizenship.

What say you now, mlife?
Most people love Bush in TX. My gosh how dumb can Americans be.
The only way to control the situation is with visas for people who are working.
If you want to go out and pick tomatoes all day or rip out asbestos with your bare hands, go ahead and do it. The problem is that there aren’t enough other (young) Americans who want to do so.
Employers need workers, and if you give short-term legalization to people who are here working, then they can actually go home again when the job is done.
And just think of all the fine, government growth Perry will cause with this brilliant idea! Gotta hire folks with hearts to manage the program, don’t ya know?
Cain now has the same stance as Perry on the fence.
Now that he has actually had to look at reality.
E verify hurts businesses.
The Az, and Alabama laws are under legal challenge and have done nothing but suck up taxpayers money in courts.
I am uncertain as to the GA law.
You know my stance in tuition, it passed by a margin that he could not veto and the comptroller says that it is saving Texans money. It has been in place for a decade with no complaints from a majority of Texans.
I don’t like it, but there it is.
The reality is that even without steady jobs some of them would still choose to be in America. Everything is just so much better here. But I agree. I would love to see them need to go back.
A doozey for your collection! PING list appreciated!
I am combing the archives of some Mexican Spanish language press for stuff on this, and already I have found some rather potent stuff (originally in Spanish, it will have to be rendered into English... a little bit is old, like 2006, but that is fine, it may portend to show original positions on hot issues, at least as perceived in the Mexican press). Stay tuned.
How so?
It the Rio Grande. You can't fence it and there are several really big lakes on the border and if we fence it on our side we will be giving US waters, that Texans (Americans) make their livings off of, to Mexico. Besides, what good is a fence that isn't manned? The response to that is always, "we can fence strategic areas" which is true and is Perry's position too. Perry wants to kill the Narco-Terrorist and corrupt Mexican military that is actually in control of the US/Mexican Border and turn the electronic fronteer (that Obama turned off) back on and then station troops (with the orders to return fire and defend US sovereignty) and increase the Border Patrol and fix the USCIS so they work for the country instead of the illegals.
How are you going to stop the jobs?
We have 9.7% unemployment here and these people still manage to find work.
Obama is doing a damn good job of slowing the flow of folks looking for jobs.
There already is a program that allows guest workers, in unlimited numbers, for picking crops.
There are many other temporary visa programs as well.
All these programs tie the employee to the employer for the length of the visa (ie, job ends visa ends)
Perry is proposing something completely different, he is proposing a form of amnesty.
5000 x 12 000 000 = 60 000 000 000
60 Billion not 6 trillion
Fair enough.
I just wanted to know his position on the matter.
Punish the employers- not accept special interest money from them and turn the other way. Wow...
E-verify doesn’t hurt business, unless you mean the cheap labor business that Ricardo Perrista’s puppet masters engage in.
More lies from a lying Perrybot.
Ahh, the good OLD univision interview of Gov. Sarah Palin describing JUAN MCCAIN's platform as his VP CANDIDATE back in Oct 26, 2008.
There is always sombody that goes there...
Here is Gov. Sarah Palin in an unscripted interview describing HER intentions regarding illegal aliens.
Jul 11, 2010
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
The top story tonight. If Sarah Palin were President, could she solve the illegal immigration problem? When I spoke to the governor last night, that was the big question.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
So you're President Of The United States, Sarah Palin, you send how many National Guard to the border, right away, to secure it?
[Sarah Louise Palin]
How ever you may need! This is the top priority, this is a National Security issue.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Alright, Im talking Texas, California, New Mexico, all of them. So you'd send 10, fifteen thousand National Gard down there, right away to assist in border patrol. Yes?
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Whatever it takes. Whatever it takes.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Alright, so you'd militarize the border,
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Yup
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Youd finish the fence, finish building the fence to Brownsville, San Diego, Yes?
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Yup
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Now we have 12 million people staring at you. And you say to those people, you ar in her illegally, you broke civil law by coming in here, ummm, now, are you gonna deport them? What are you gonna do?
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Well, again. First let me go back to the importance of Securing the Border.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
We got that! We got that, Governor!
[Sarah Louise Palin]
If you start talking about Amnesty the border
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Everybody,
[Sarah Louise Palin]
No. We don't!
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
All factors people, people watching this program have it. We have it. We assume, you as President would secure the border. Of confidence that you would do that. Now you have to look inward, alright, and you got 12 million people staring at you, what are you going to have them do?
[Sarah Louise Palin]
You're not going to give them a free pass. Youre not gonna say, okay, you and anybody else who wants to scurry across this poorest border between now and when we do finally get it fenced in and physically secure. Well give you a free pass and just because youve broken the laws in the past we can trust you. NO!
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
No amnesty.
[Sarah Louise Palin]
No amnesty. Which means
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
So what do you do with these folks? Do you make them register with the Federal Government? Do you tell them, they have 60 days to get out of here before we put you in jail? What do we do with them?
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Do, do we make them register with the Federal Government?
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Yes, so we know who they are. So we know where they are.
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Yes, we do. We have to. Exactly, want an answer to that question? Absolutely! We are not going to give them a free pass!
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
So we make the register with the Federal Government
[Sarah Louise Palin]
We are not going to reward the bad behavior. Yes.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
And if you dont register with the Federal, say you give them 60 days to register with the Federal Government..
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Hmm hmm
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Theres a form at the post office, they have to send in, like a census form. Alright, say they didnt do it?
[Sarah Louise Palin]
You deport them, you have to get them out!
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
The ones that dont for a period of time. Okay.
[Sarah Louise Palin]
We we dont reward their continued bad behavior.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
So after a period of time, the ones that dont co-operate
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Yes.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
You catch them, theyre gone. Now,
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Right.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
You have these people, that register, you gonna have millions of them, then they register and well, bade what President Palin told us to do. Then what? Do you give them green-cards to work, right away? What do you with them?
[Sarah Louise Palin]
You know, there has to be that expectation that they will work and that the will contribute, it makes me uncomfortable that we are even going down that path so far,
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
You have to though!
[Sarah Louise Palin]
No, no no
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
You have to go down that path cause its gonna come up!
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Americans Citizens who are here lawfully, they need to be the ones with the first shot at getting these jobs. Why, we cannot make it easy on those who have chosen to be illegal, illegally here to disobey our laws. No
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
No, we cant make it easy, but they are here and we cant starve them to death and they cant work and they dont have a green-card to work, um, they are gonna be housed, they gotta pay rent they gotta by groceries and other thing. This is where it gets complicated Governor. You know, it get very very complicated because you are rewarding bad behavior. You let them stay in the United States. And they came in illegally.
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Then lets keep it, then we wont complicated it anymore, lets keep it simple and lets say: No. If you were here, illegally, and um, if you dont follow the steps at some point through immigration reform, we are going to be able to somehow to provide to allow you to work, if you are not gonna do that, than you will be deported. You will be gone.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Okay, weve established that. Okay, weve established that.
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Lets look at case history, lets, lets look at what political hero Ronald Regan tried to do, 3 million illegal
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
He botched it
[Sarah Louise Palin]
All those years ago
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Regan botched it
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Exactly
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
He botched it
[Sarah Louise Palin]
That's what Im saying, we learn from history. We wont do what what he did!
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Your gonna have to do. Whoever the next President is, is going to have to have to deal with 12 million people. And thats going to be very very difficult. Alright, let me switch gears here. This is frightening me, Governor, I I Im getting very very afraid of Mama Grizzlies. And you are, I guess the Mama Grizzlies Chief-ton. Am I, why dont you explain what the Mama Grizzly deal is?
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Mama Grizzly is a political sense is someone, who is watching what is going on, that is adversely effecting our cubs, our children, the future of America, and there are a lot of common sense, constitutional conservative women who are willing to put it all on the line, and run for office and support candidates who are willing to run for office, to take this country back.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Alright. This is a clarion call you are making.
[Sarah Louise Palin]
And not to allow the Pelosi, Reed, Obama, Administration and Agenda to continue to put us on a path towards insolvency.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Okay so.
[Sarah Louise Palin]
To put us on a path less secure less free nation.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
So you are tying to mobilize Mama Grizzlies all over, from Anchorage to Key West, from San Diego to Banger, Maine, to get involved to either run themselves, to support candidates they like, this Mama Grizzly movement is gonna take over the country,
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Its all about stopping Obama Pelosi and Reed and what they are doing to our country, to our children our grand-children and their futures.
[William James Bill O'Reilly Jr]
Alright, Governor always a pleasure to talk with you, thanks for taking the time
[Sarah Louise Palin]
Thanks you to.
And that is what GOV. Sarah Palin believes regarding illegal aliens. NOT as the VP candidate for Juan McCain's election platform.
Lets recap, because I just love the way she says "you will be deported."
None of this pansy "hearings" or "court dates."
Just plain common sense.
you send how many National Guard to the border,
How ever you may need!
Alright, so youd militarize the border,
Yup,
Youd finish the fence,
Yup
No amnesty.
Do, do we make them register with the Federal Government?
Yes, we do.
And if you dont register with the Federal, say you give them 60 days to register
You deport them, you have to get them out!
You catch them, theyre gone.
Right.
lets keep it simple
If you were here, illegally,
if you dont follow the steps
we are going to
to allow you to work
you will be deported. You will be gone.
I do not hear the "D" word from Gov. Perry.
I do not believe I or anyone else will EVER hear the "D" word from Gov. Perry.
However, as far behind as he currently is one would think he would be speaking out about deporting criminal illegal aliens.
What would be holding him back?
.
Agree. People don’t want to hear it but a lot of the illegals are doing jobs that Americans don’t want to do anymore. Not sure how many illegals are working here. But most employers would prefer to hire Americans if they could. Reality, some of the lower paying jobs Americans aren’t willing to do, and a lot of Americans don’t need to. Just the way it is.
