The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely GOP Primary voters shows Cain with 26% of the vote over former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s 23%. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich draws 14% support, with no other GOP contender reaching double-digits. Thirteen percent (13%) of GOP voters are undecided at this time. What a cast of characters:
Flippsy Mittsy
Herman One Note
Tex the Befuddled
Professor Newt

And bit parts still played by:

Bug-eyed Michelle
Rick, the pissy altar boy

Guess I’m leaning toward the professor. But,honestly, this is not looking good.

Ruck Fomney. Just sent Cain a Franklin. There’s more where it came from.

I have been reading about George Washington and how he shaped the idea of the Presidency by his virtue and character. The early states delegates voted on the premise of a “President” by the persona of George Washington. I realize we have no one near him in any category, but it begins to dawn on me that we should be looking for a statesman who will help us through some very troubling waters ahead. Guess who best matches up in the areas of statesmanship, projection, proven leadership, global gravitas, yep, NEWT GINGRICH!

“The Cain train keeps on rolling!!!!!!!!”

Yes it does. Also Newt continues his slow but steady rise in the polls. Karl Rove’s man Mitt Romney is stuck in the low 20’s.

NO f'n way on jla! A well-earned zotting.

I saw that. That is good news.

And here is the post that did it.

So if we don't support Perry we're 'white trash'?

Good riddance.

Perry falling back into the pack, Gingrich closing fast on the outside. Going into the backstretch...

Not many things are certain in life, but one thing we know for sure--come November the country will not be screaming for Perry.

What the whorehouse media has failed to take into account-- Herman Cain is not one of them. The usual pusillanimous politician is much like the usual venereally diseased reporter-- a panty-waist trembling at the thought of offending someone who already agrees with them.

Cain is a Man, and the media have no idea how to take him down. Even the so-called republicans are baffled--the more they disparage and sow seeds of doubt, the higher his contributions go! Trust me--the usual snatch attacks will not work on him.

I agree. I hope Newt can rise to this moment in history and show himself to be the candidate who can reinvigorate the idea of American exceptionalism. It makes sense that after electing a inexperienced, disingenuous, far left narcissist that America would turn to wise, experienced statesman who understands American greatness. I could see it happening, but Newt needs to answer the bell.

For all we know by next November the country will be screaming for Perry....or possibly Gingrich...or perhaps Bachmann.

Speak for yourself please.

Me too. A few months ago, I never thought I would be supporting Newt, but I am and I am happy about it. The guy is brilliant, perhaps a tad arrogant, but no one's perfect.

Romney wouldn't change a thing...absolutely no backbone. At least Newt's state of the union speeches will be worth listening to.

Karl Rove’s man Mitt Romney is stuck in the low 20’s.

Interesting how Karl Rove -- officially "unaligned" -- has been actively flogging the Herman Cain sexual harrassment story. And, this afternoon on Hannity, he found time to take some pointed shots at Gingrich, as well.

All in the interest of "objective reporting", of course.

Talk about snakes. Pudgy little snakes...

...best news of the day is that “jla” has been zotted by Jim.

Now that is some very good news. 'Bout time that serial disruptor got the boot.

Do you happen to know how he came to embrace the holy amperage?

I wonder how the “polls’ would change if Sarah Palin re-introduced herself to being a candidate for the next election?

It might take a week or two for a lot of folks to actually believe she was honestly in the race, but after that, I think she'd skyrocket to the top.

Here is the great news!!!!!!!!!! South40 was kind enough to let us know.

One of the more obnoxious Perry supporters has gone the way of the zot. This one called Herman Cain supporters “white trash”.

Sexual harassment? Even if he implodes, it’ll be worth it to bury Romney.

“One of the more obnoxious Perry supporters has gone the way of the zot.”

So I’m white trash for supporting Mr. Cain, eh? Learn something new every day.

It smells better around here already. A good zot does that. Leaves that lingering ozone smell that clears the sinuses.

Thanks for the link to the zot of the day, Naps. I thanked Jim for taking that trash out of the house. It had become rancid beyond all tolerance.

The top 3 contenders actually remind me a little of the top 3 commiecrat contenders for their ‘08 nomination.

There’s an African-American who has very little political experience, but articulates broad ideas that endear him to the party base. For them, Barack Obama, for us, Herman Cain.

There’s a really smart figure best known for their role in the 1990’s, but who carries a lot of political baggage. For them, Hillary Clinton, for us, Newt Gingrich.

There’s a creepy, plastic guy from a state generally associated with the other party, who insists that he’s the most electable but seems extremely untrustworthy. For them, John Edwards, for us, Mitt Romney.

The commiecrats nominated Obama, but I get the feeling that they wish they would’ve nominated Hillary and are very glad they didn’t nominate Edwards. I wonder what we’ll wind up doing?
