If that happened in any church I was attending, I would walk out.

I wouldn't be in the least surprised. About the only thing that Christian churches in the United States aren't doing is Christianity.

I would stand up and ask the preacher why he was reading satanic verses in GOD’s Church. I would then renounce my membership in front of the entire Congregation and walk out to find another Church... one that believes that:

“I am the LORD your GOD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods in MY presence”

I have walked out of churches for FAR LESS than that.

This sure as hell isn't happening in any Catholic churches.

This abomination exists in the realm of those misguided by the heretic Luther.

Only if it was done to make a teaching point. If it were done to make a doctrinal point, it’s a Matthew 18 issue.

The pastor I had when I was growing up told us that if he was standing at the lectern, you would be hearing the Word of God. No explanatory sentences before or after the reading, no announcements. Just the Word of God and the citation, of course.

I wonder if the Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy and Tad Stahnke have had any luck getting an Imam to read from the Bible, in a Mosque, during and Islamic religious service? I mean…in the spirit of Faith Shared, a program of Interfaith Alliance and Human Rights First.

Only the Bible says what happens thousands of years before it happens.

This is the signature of God. The Quran DOES NOT do this.

Just more humans with the umitigated nerve to claim they speak for God, in the pulpits, in the comments. They never tire of it.

In churches I attended this act would have been followed by a leading deacon or elder standing up and saying this concludes todays service. There will be a special meeting of all Deacons and Elders immediately after this service.

Next service a deacon, elder, or another preacher would be standing in the pulpit.

...If this didn’t happen to you yesterday, count yourself fortunate because it did happen to a number people sitting in Christian churches across America....

Nah, this didn't happen at any Christian Church.
Perhaps in a harlot 'church' wanting to take the name of Christ - but still doing their own thing - but not in a Christian Church.

If they were just citing passages to inform the parishioners, it wouldn’t be a big deal. But I think that this is political correctness in the pulpits. Any Christian preacher who cites this as a message to obey has no business in the pulpit.

Here's how the Quran works. Mohammad over the course of his life would change a portion of what he wrote - he would 'update' what was written. The newer writings TRUMPED the older. So if he said 'be kind to Jews' in the first few years when he was establishing this religion - but in the last years of his life said to 'kill Jews' only the LAST comments would be binding.

The Koran (Quran) as it is set out is intentionally confusing. I believe the 'order' is shortest chapters to longest chapters... A system that has NOTHING to do with how the belief system is interpreted by religious Islamic scholars. The 'shortest to longest chapter' system allows the book to be all things to all people - because Mohammond changed his mind a lot. Only his later thoughts 'count'.

Higher up Imans have the book in order - and they know what matters and what doesn't. English versions of the book are available that are written sequentially. Those are the ONLY books that should be read in a Church - and only those last chapters written ( chronologically). Then the book can be seen for what it really is...
