The OWS class warfare isn't just against the bankers and the richest 1%. Now they are protesting against the "wealthy" residents who live in the Pearl District neighrhood of Portland, Oregon.

CBS News reports reports that the protestors "view its residents as part of the wealthy demographic they’re protesting."

This is wikipedia's picture of the neighborhood in question:

When a group is protesting “wealthy people”, what exactly do they hope to accomplish other than some form of intimidation?

Put differently, aren't these mobs simply nascent terrorists?

The “Pearl” is home to a large number of hip, rich liberals. The city seems to be fine with the occupiers in the downtown, but they don’t want them in the Pearl. The development of the Pearl was heavily subsidized by taxpayers.

Once Rose’s Bakery closed their store in the Pearl District, there is no reason for any sane person to visit that part of town. Nothing but a bunch of leftist yuppies.

The Pearl is a very nice neighborhood with relatively young professionals. This shows the Marxist heart of the occupy movement. Like Pol Pot, their enemy is anyone who has more than they do, is more ambitious, has a more economically relevant education or who is willing to work hard.

shades of the Bolshevik Revolution.

Next, O’Bumbles will be egging them on to move in to the big houses, assign a House Warden and push the owners into a backroom for their “share” of living quarters.

It worked in other countries for one reason only - first, they got their guns.

If Oregon has a Castle Doctrine Law the OWS might want to be very careful where they step.

It is likely the Pearl voted 98% for Obozo, let them enjoy the fruits of their vote.

Actually, the Pearl District is home to a population of liberal snobs and the same people who are supporting occupy. Go for it protesters.

to further your point...In 2005, the Sierra Club named the Pearl District one of the top new developments in the country.

"In urban planning circles, Portland has emerged as a model city, at the forefront of creating a vibrant, quality urban environment, and the Pearl District only bolsters its reputation." - Sierra Club

I know this neighborhood well. People in the Pearl are almost all liberals and generally in sympathy with the sort of people who would participate in OWS. What they just don’t seem to understand is how they could end up on the nasty end of the ideologies they’re sympathetic with.
