DENVER At least seven people were arrested in downtown Denver during a confrontation between Denver Police and Occupy Denver protesters Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses say some in the crowd were throwing objects at police, and that a few officers patrolling the protest on motorcycles were pushed off their bikes. No injuries were reported.
Sources say a few officers have resorted to pepper spray and other non-lethal devices in an effort to control the crowd.

* I say 'ex' instead of 'former' because I'm not so sure what kind of a Marine he was. From what I've read he has an "I hate the marine corps" web site. Don't know if it is true or not, but that is the rumor going around the internet.

They have their martyr - that vet who was hit in the head by a pepper spray canister. They are all over the net weeping and wailing about Fascist America even though they pulled their usual game of getting him stuck in a crowd with anarchists who suddenly started throwing bottles at the police. They did this in the sixties and seventies. That poor kid. I hope he recovers without permanent damage because the communists who used him for victim theater sure don't deserve his suffering.

To withdraw is to encourage further lawlessness! The local political leadership needs to go on the offensive with media blitzes in the press & on the airwaves listing the offenses & pointing out in no uncertain terms what is meant by the right to PEACEABLE ASSEMBLY(those are the key words) for the petition of grievances & what the occupy rabble are doing.
Get the message out that PEACEABLE ASSEMBLY is not getting in a shoving match with a state trooper or city cop.
