He’s right. 999 will never be enacted. Still, at least Cain put out a big idea and it now has all the other candidates talking more seriously about tax reform.

All I can say is that the country needs big ideas and radical changes -- massive decreases in the interference by government.

Perhaps 9-9-9 won't go anywhere, but something with "absolutely no chance" will have to be enacted, or we will surely die from the same-old-same-old.

999 is a little too ‘advertising exec’ talk but whotf is Drew Carey?

Wasn’t he on a show a long long time ago?

Who cares what these Hollywood types think - they live in a bubble of unreality

Maybe it is their guilt about making a sickening amount of money and knowing at the same time they are a complete fraud

“will never go anywhere.”

It certainly will go somewhere! I just bought a ticket on the Cain train, and will ride it to the end of the line. Better than the last horse I bet on, didn't get into the starting gate....

Heck, half of the reason I support Cain is that I know that 999 will never be passed!

lol

I like Cain in spite of his 999 plan, I like that Cain is willing to think big, and besides the rest of the people running are idiots.

Yes, Cain did and yes, it’s time to consider it. But don’t enact it before elected like Zerocare was.

It’s time for the States to argue the income tax and let the people decide the manner, not for the Executive to take extra-constitutional stabs at it.

Start taking away the earned income credits right now, and the freeloaders will balk at losing 30-40% of their income and show up to vote against it. Outline a general plan, but don’t let the rats believe it’s imminent.

I know this is Hollywood, but Drew Carey ... isn’t he the transsexual that married the cross dressing look-alike star Janeane Garofalo? Which one is which? I keep getting this all mixed up. Who’s on top? Who’s on first?

Well, first I don’t support 999 because I don’t want a consumption tax. But I do give Cain credit for putting the idea out there and talking about serious issues like large scale tax reform.

I am all for ending the earned income tax credits. It is nothing but transfer payments and I completely oppose them.

I/m starting to think that *everyone* here just reacts without reading the article.

Drew Carey said: “I really don’t pay — I would have an opinion if I was more informed about it but I just don’t know enough about it to give an informed opinion about it so I just keep my mouth shut.”

We ought to be applauding this guy. This is the smartest thing anyone in entertainment has ever said when asked about politics.

“I have an opinion about the price of cars and stuff on The Price is Right and that’s about it,” Carey told TheDC at the National Press Club on Friday... When asked about Cain’s 9-9-9 tax plan, Carey responded, “I’ve got no opinion about that either. I mean, I don’t think it will ever go anywhere but I have no opinion. I’m a game show host. I don’t know.”

” - - - Drew Carey told The Daily Caller that he doesn’t think - - - .”

If Drew says he doesn’t think, then he probably doesn’t think.

If you don't think $3-6000.00 taken away per rat per annum in 'earned' income tax credits won't bring the rats out to protect zero.....

Think about it. Let's not give them any GOTV material.

Oh I agree with you. I was just saying I oppose the earned income tax credit, not arguing that anyone should specifically run against it.
