Good. These guys have been bullying Internet users for too long.

This was by far the largest fee award against Righthaven, but likely will be dwarfed by an upcoming award in Righthaven's failed suit against the Democratic Underground. As much as we are on the opposite side from DU, its a win for free speech and the internet.

Sounds like Righthaven really went out of its way to piss off *everybody* (on all sides) in this thing.

RightHaven are the bottom feeders of the Internet.
I strongly urge that you issue an apology to all the other more honorable and respectable bottom feeders. Righthaven makes the scum in the bottom of septic tanks look surgically clean and antiseptic.

You know that something is totally evil when both Democratic Underground and Free Republic call them dirtbags.

From the story, it appears the court would have awarded even more than costs if it had been able to. You know you’ve ticked off the judge when the other side makes a fee request and the court just turns around, hands it to you, and says “pay ‘em”.
