Why aspire to be successful when you will just be called greedy and selfish?
1. Athletes must be penalized for excessive celebration after a good or game-changing play. 2. All little athletes will be awarded trophies at the end of their sports seasons no matter how they did. 3. Elementary school teachers cannot hold back a student unless the student's parents agree. It's called Social Promotion. 4. A parent cannot share their children's accomplishments with Leftist friends/relatives. It's called bragging. 5. We are not allowed to be excited about a new house, car or any of the finer things in life. It's being material.
Feel free to add your pet peeves about the way Americans are no longer allowed to enjoy anything.
Live your life the way you want, and don’t pay attention to a**holes and losers.
When my kids Halloween Party and Parade became an “Autumn Harvest Celebration”. When Christmas and Easter Vacation became “Winter and Spring Recess”. I could go on and on. When I was in grammar school, Jewish kids sang “We three kings” in the choir, and I happily sang “dradel dradel dradel”. It pervades all aspects of life now and it’s not going away. I don’t know when it started but I feel like we lost out chance to nip it in the bud.
You know the old George Carlin routine? Shell Shock, became Battle Fatigue, became Combat Exhaustion, became post traumatic stress disorder.....

Tonight my cousin posted on facebook that she can’t afford medical care.
The only problem is that she posted from a motel on the other side of the country where she’s playing dress up at some kind of gamers convention.
Well, it isn’t fair. The words like “winning”, “more”, “better”, “first” should be removed from the English language... only./s

The good results and empowerment generated by financial independence ripple outward to many people. Many successful people enjoy helping others who are sincerely trying to better themselves.
Ignoring people who display personality disorders isn’t that hard, nor is it much price to pay, considering the good accomplished.

I don't think many understand that we are about to see the most violent, vicious, racist, and dishonest Dem presidential campaign ever.
They do but that is not the point. It is not greedy or selfish to want to excel, to do well, to make a difference in the world. If one does all those, it is not greedy or selfish to enjoy your home, your car or any accoutrement you choose. I just get fed up with bitter, jealous Leftists who will never be happy, no matter what.
They pretty much have been. No sarcasm. Just truth.

As for a pet peeve, I hate listening to 20 year olds in class whining about taxes aren’t high enough on the rich. They are too dumb to know that income, not wealth, is taxed.

It was more a rhetorical question. I agree that many successful people are also good people. I just had Leftist relatives stay here for a few days last week and I am aggravated. Family matter. Most of my Leftist friends have gone by the wayside and I am much happier in that area. I tried to point out to my kin that Conservatives believe in Charity to provide, not Government. I was told I might not give my charitable dollars to the right people. I told them it wasn’t their business where my charitable dollars go. Etc., etc., etc. Still aggravated.
I really hate to tell you, but bitterness and jealousy aren’t exclusive to those who you disagree with politically...
Why try to rack your brain solving a problem that would help people when it might make one “successful?”
Why risk giving others a chance to be a part of that success?
I guess true success is now defined as solving all the world’s problems but never gaining the means to live in more that a hovel. And you have to smell bad and have a scruffy beard—and if you do gain the means to live in more than a hut or have the ability to afford a razor, well, you have to give all those undeserved financial gains to big givernment so no one will have more than another.
Well, unless your a democrat like Michael Moore or Al Gore, that is...
