19-year-old St. Paul man who was set on fire by his mother's boyfriend has accused his uncle and mother of stealing thousands of dollars from a benefit for him, authorities say.
Jeffrey Allen Stewart, 43, and Jodi Ann Stewart, 40, of South St. Paul, each face a felony of aiding and abetting theft by swindle in the theft, according to a Dakota County criminal complaint filed today. The brother and sister allegedly stole $2,500 from Antonie Willis.
The money was taken from banks in South St. Paul and Woodbury, the charges said.
Willis was burned by his mother's boyfriend, Curtis Edwin Reed, in July when trying to protect his mother during a domestic dispute between the couple, according to a Ramsey County criminal complaint charging Reed with first degree assault.

Verbal Mayhem ping! If you can figure out from this headline who was set on fire, who stole from whom, and who has a boyfriend, start your day with a Gold Star!
Woo hoo - I start the day with a gold star!
Nice, isn’t it? Have an extra cup of coffee, too, if you’d like.
Thank you.
My mind was boggling for a moment and I was going to race to fire up the French Press to clear things up.
Glad to know I wasn’t the only one who couldn’t wrap my brain around that travesty.
“Man set on fire by her boyfriend” was what flummoxed me. I realize the latest journalistic practice is to use the wrong-sex pronoun for crazy people (Chaz Bono, for example), but this seems extra senseless ;-).
Then, when you try to read the article, another person appears, who is apparently the brother of the mother of the gender-confused man who, I suppose, was set on fire ...
Journ0lists - the intelligentsia!!
Obfuscation is the name and propaganda the game.
They really are doing a splendid job.
Uncle daddy, maybe?
Uncle daddy, maybe?
whew!, for a few seconds, I thought that I was having a stroke. I read the words but I couldn’t understand what I was reading
Pretty sure I clicked on “post” only once. ??
I know;) For a brief moment in time - it appeared that the brother was the mother’s boyfriend.
Media mud wrestling;)
I am looking forward to St. Paul’s Epistle to the Journolesians.
I couldn’t figure it out. I still can’t work it out :0(
Somebody was set on fire with money? Somebodies mother? I’ve got nothing.
Some mothers are like this.
Every child who is abused has a mother who was supposed to be their protector. Sometimes the mother is dead, sometimes the mother is the problem directly.
Lock her up for a long time.
LOL! St. Paul (at least in translation) is none too careful with pronouns and their antecedents, either - but at least he knows a “he” from a “she.”
Mother of St. Paul: Man set on fire by her boyfriend; steals money from him, authorities. Say (what)?
Wow! A gold star and an extra cup of coffee! What a country!
Sounds like one of them there Chastity/Chaz Bono deals to me, a flaming transsexual.
St. Paul ...at least...knows a he from a she.

Hey, these are the journo-lists, so they probably have difficulty discerning which are he’s and which are she’s among the actual people they encounter, not to mention grammatical challenges.
