David Frum wishes to see issues that are divisive, such as abortion, relegated to the backstage of politics so that political victories, albeit victories with no moral significance, can be won by politicians who will have decided to stop addressing the plight of the most vulnerable. This is always the problem with RINOs and those who think it's okay to claim to be pro-life while going out of their way to ignore the issue.

Frum is just another dirt-bag that couldn't kiss ass well enough to get a job as the fascist he really is and so decided to get one pretending to be a conservative of some sort. He's been so far from conservative for so long I don't know why anyone even still pretends he's anything other than the fascist scum he is.

While Frum has, in former days, been an impressive advocate for socially conservative values, ever since the 2008 election he has advocated for a desertion of social conservatism in order to win more elections based on fiscal issues For the love of money is at the root of all evil. What's the point of winning elections if we can't fight for our preferred policies

From the history of the Prohibition and its rise and fall, Frum extrapolates that just as alcohol consumption eventually plummeted due to health concerns, so abortion will eventually plummet based on friendlier attitudes towards teen pregnancy and more effective contraceptives. The issue is not "more effective contraceptives." No contraceptive is effective if it is not used. What we have are young people taught that abortion is a perfectly acceptable form of birth control, who become quite careless about the use of contraceptives as a result.
I've always thought that teaching about abstinence, contraceptives, and the truth of abortion would be a far more effective way of decreasing teen or "unwanted" pregnancy. Big Abortion, however, will spend what it takes to buy off enough politicians to keep that from happening (at least on the political front).

National Review kicked him out because of his pro-abortion views. They tolerate a slew of different conservative opinions - but there is nothing conservative about dead babies.

We will never win if all we represent is a more efficient way to deliver material goods. "For life is more than food and the body more than clothing," If the rights of "the least of these," our unborn brothers and sisters, are not defended, then we are all at risk.
For those who believe that God is not mocked, and His will is exercised through the course of history, then the United States will suffer a dire penalty for its indifference on this issue. God does not care about "jobs," or economic growth. He does care about how we treat our fellow creatures.

Why should we care what this loser/faux “conservative” says about any topic?
