Anyone who does not recognize Occupy Wall Street as street theatre by now is just hopeless.
The Roosevelt generation already occupies Wall Street. It is in their interest to write a script and put on this show so that the gullibe will continue to think of the typical “Wall Streeter” as a hard, mean, flinty-eyed capitalist, like Mr. Potter,and the people occupying Zucotti Park as the justifiable outraged citizens of Bedford Falls.
The reality is, the left is already in control of Wall Street, just as they the already occupy Washington. Somebody, I’m not sure who, said on TV last week that Wall Street is not made up of crony-capitalists - they are a bunch of crony-socialists!
I hope the city or the Private owner of the park presents the hippies with a huge bill for their hippy commie fest!

Right....they invented financial “instruments” that fed off the mortgage “securities”
Everyone was supposed to be ok with that because genius mathematicians derived formulas to back them up.
Maybe too many people didn’t want to admit they A)Didn’t understand the formulas, and B)Didn’t understand what the overall product was supposed to accomplish?
No one wants to be the dumb one in the room?
So....when it turns out the mortgages were bad - the securities were worthless - then the derivatives multiplied the losses.
Then they panic and give the whole “too big to fail” routine.
Everything will collapse and where did all the money go?
It’s downright bizarre.
The whole purpose of the shell game is to hide where all the money went, then print some more to replace that which has been hidden. Then, life goes on as before while the savings and asset values of the little people are gradually eroded through inflation of the money supply, only the little people are too busy scratching out a living and raising their families to do anything about it. Their 401K and little funds and bonds and real estate holdings, rather than pay interest and dividends and profits just disappear; all while you double your work hoping to just keep your job.

Note: they refer decisions to a “General Assembly” just like the French Revolution. And some of them have called for bankers’ heads to be decapitated. Aren’t they nice? It is a real love in!
Except they would take dumps on the doorsteps of the neighboring residences - which they are ALREADY DOING. I think they should smoke - then Mayor Bumbleberg would have them arrested.
