Some drummers -- incensed they got no money to replace or safeguard their drums after a midnight vandal destroyed their instruments Wednesday -- are threatening to splinter off.

Will they protest the greed of the Occupiers?

Man, this article defines the description "delicious irony." :)

If this was the Tea Party, the media would make them a laughing stock.

Oh, I do like the sounds of this. Tell me more? Are they compromised from within? Could someone, say, "spike" the communal stew next??

Money makes the world go 'round.

They're finally getting an education.

Is this satire? Because this is too surreal to be true.

Note to Mr. Smith: Unless your group is registered as a non-profit, IIRC they have no obligation to show anyone anything. If your group is not, for example, a 501(c)3, then they didn’t register that way for a reason. Why didn’t you check before gettng involved?

oh hardihar. It is Lord of the Flies once again. Kind of lovely to see that Those Who Whine are recreating a system of civilization, however banal, based on money, purchasing, paperwork, and even building sheds to protect stuff from others, and even leadership.

Pretty soon they’ll be building little stores. And then they’ll need a bank. What delicious irony.

” Is this satire? Because this is too surreal to be true. “

It must be tough to be a satirist, these days - even the most fertile, demented, imagination would have a hard time coming up with anything more bizarre than the daily headlines...

Occupy Wall Street’s Finance Committee has nearly $500,000 in the bank, and donations continue to pour in -- but its reluctance to share the wealth with other protesters is fraying tempers.

Wealth redistribution for thee....not for me.

Uhhhh, if it wasn’t for capitalism you would have no money to fight over and the biggest meanest folks would have the wealth, not those that work for it,...so let’s see, you didn’t work for it..check..you are not the biggest and meanest..check...but you are fighting over paper..check...didn’t your mama ever tell you the only things that last in life in the physical realm is what you work for...

The other day, I took in $2,000. I kept $650 for my group, and gave the rest to Finance.

That was dumb.

A couple of gallons of GoLITELY would be a nice touch.

I was thinking something a little more, would you say, um, permanent.

I am starting to think ignoring these clowns is the best way to handle it because it won't be long before they have to start killing each other long before they get to actually taking things over and kill us.

Communism, the same everywhere it is tried. Yet, every time people think some grand evolution of mankind has occurred and it will be different this time.
