If you have ever wondered about the government’s ability to control the civilian airwaves, you will have your answer on November 9th.
On that day, federal authorities are going to shut off all television and radio communications simultaneously at 2:00PM EST to complete the first ever test of the national Emergency Alert System (EAS).

Yeah, but what if that during the few minutes of this test, that the White House broadcasts a subliminal message that instructs all people to immediately report to their nearest NPR affiliate or Apple Store where they will have the Apple iObama chip emplaned in their heads?
And once all the Apple iObama chips are activated by agents of Obama on Election Day, all will be programmed to vote for Obama.
Unless you have a bunch of neighbors still using old TV's with the digital conversion boxes, the likelihood of you interfering at all with them is going to be pretty remote.
On the other hand, 1,500 watts into a half-wave dipole on 7.2kHz has a tendency to disrupt everything from cable boxes, at&t uverse, telephone lines, computer speakers and a whole lot more....
Nope...saw something over at the FCC/FEMA that said Barry the Boob will NOT be in this message. Neither his image or voice will be used.
Could his narcissistic tendencies assert themselves between now and then and he DOES do the message? Could be, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
That’s my sister’s 50th birthday and we are taking her out to lunch that day, so I guess I’ll miss it. But my husband will be home listening to Rush Limbaugh. Funny this will happen during his air time.

However, someone else has responded saying that all broadcast stations now have black boxes fitted and the government can take control. I wonder what the truth really is.

Just the word CONELRAD gives me the creeps. I was 5 years old and in kindergarten when the Duck and Cover stuff was going on. It terrified me. I remember one morning at 3 AM a car in my neighborhood caught fire and the horn got stuck and woke me up. I thought it was the sirens and got so scared I got under my bed in the Duck and Cover position. I can still hear those scary sirens.
What they really want is to cut off the internet.
There is no significance to the test being ran on Wednesday after the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. This is not a warm up for 2012.
I wonder how much money they can “loan” out to favored friends and allies during that time??
It’s not so much a “black box”. It is a device, hooked into the transmitter system, that can automatically interrupt programming to activate the EAS. The operator doesn’t have to do a thing.
Each local and regional EAS operation areas have a selection of codes that they can program into the system to indicated if it’s just a test or an actual emergency. There are different codes for a local, regional, state, and national emergency, as well as for what the emergency is (weather, nuclear power plant meltdown, etc.). I believe the national emergency codes are the ONLY ones that can automatically override the broadcast signal. It doesn’t shut it off, it just puts the national message out without the local station operator having to do anything.
Having an FCC broadcast license automatically requires you to be part of the system. It isn’t optional. They don’t have to ‘bulldog’ anybody. They are already part of it, and..iff you want to broadcast over the air...willingly.
Anyone remember a movie from the 1950s called The Next Voice You Hear? It starred James Whitmore as a man named Joseph and his wife, Mary, portrayed by Nancy Davis(Reagan). In the movie all radio broadcasts throughout the world were interrupted by an announcement saying “The next voice you hear...”, and then the voice announces that it is God speaking. Incidentally, Joseph and Mary were also expecting a baby. Very interesting movie.
He has had more prime-time televised speeches than any President I can remember. He's on radio, TV and press every fracking day nearly......I don't expect him to be any different here. That's what Narcissism is all about

THAT little factoid is the ONE thing that makes me suspicious.
You see...when they announced that they were doing this test, they also said that they’ll be doing it EVERY YEAR. If they do it the same day every year, then next year’s test will be...the day after the election.
Hmm.
Herman Cain will be announcing that Baraq Obama has until January 20th to provide substantive proof of citizenship or deportation proceedings will begin.
Why do they have to turn off the air waves I do not get it.
They cant just do the “This is a Test” like they do now. What is the importance of this test and how is it different from the one we have now?
