Source: ABC Reporter’s Life Allegedly Threatened at Occupy Oakland; ‘We Shoot White Bitches Like You Around Here’
Early yesterday morning, we received a tip from a reader in the San Francisco East Bay area who informed us that a local reporter’s life had been threatened by an activist at the Occupy Oakland demonstration.
Our source, who is fearful of reprisal and has requested anonymity, says that KGO-TV’s Amy Hollyfield was accosted by a man who threatened her and used a racial slur:
“We shoot white bitches like you around here.”
According to our source, the Oakland Police Department was apparently called to the scene. Inquiries to the police, and to Hollyfield, which began at roughly 8 a.m. Pacific time yesterday, are still unanswered today.

I’m sure what sounded like a threat is being taken way out of context.
“Shoot” may have a whole other cultural meaning then a bullet from a gun.
As well, “white bitches” may even be a compliment amoung some cultures.
In fact, you may be racist, or at the very least culturally insensitive, for even thinking this was a threat.
Actually, it sounds like a statement of fact.
Given that it’s Oakland. 20 years ago or so I stayed at the Oakland airport Motel 6. Had a 12’ chain link fence with razor wire at the top around the entire facility, and armed guards at the gatehouse.
Decided I wouldn’t go out for a late-night stroll after all.

Agreed. I have heard some callers on radio saying they wanted to go try to evangelize some of the Occupy crowd to the real villains in the financial mess, economy, etc.
A terrible disservice on part of media to not warn the general population that according to a poll taken by former democrat pollster Doug Schoen, 31% would support violence to advance their agenda...
Ironic how the media will warn citizens about inclement weather but not propensity for violence by a third of OWS protestors!

Not sure that’s a threat. I’m guessing that with the people involved and the community they live in, it’s probably just a statement of fact.
