Libya's former leader Moamer Gaddafi was first captured alive, but was later murdered by shootings of participants of operation, the Aljazeera reported.
His dead body was brought to the city of Misrata.
Former Libya's Defense Minister Abu-Bakr Yunis Jabr was also killed during the air strikes. Mass demonstrations demanding for the ouster of Qaddafi, who has been ruling the country for more than 40 years, started in Libya in mid-February and subsequently grew into armed confrontation between the government forces and the rebels.
On August 23, 2011, Gaddafi lost control of Tripoli, and effective control of Libya with the rebels' capture of the Bab al-Azizia compound.
NTC forces now control most of Libyan territory, including the capital Tripoli. They have been trying to take several cities controlled by pro-Gaddafi troops, including Bani Walid and Sirte.
Prezactly.
I just asked a question.
Remember this: Jesus LOVES you, Allah wants you dead!
I’m waiting to see what happens in Syria, where the regime is already allied to the Shiite power structure in Iran, along with Hezbollah and Hamas. Will Obama side with the opposition there too?
I fear that we will soon long for the days of Gaddafi.
The new rulers will be more radical.
bump for later
No, I read the original post and caught the mistake, saw your reply as I was composing mine (and had a chuckle).
My ‘thanks for sharing’ was intended for the original poster.
I know I shouldn’t laugh, but I did a bit when they removed his wig.
Can you imagine being a company commander and having a group of privates bring this guy back to your post? Talk about a hot potato.
Maybe Russia can come to the aid of the Serbs still in Kosovo. That would be payback for another US military action supporting the Islamists.
That’s going to mess up his gold curtains. Hillary wanted them.
I wonder how long it will be until the first billboard will go up in Libya that sez:
Miss me yet?
This country is going to be a real humanitarian disaster.
Many, many people are going to die by the hands of the revolutionaries. So far they seem to be obsessed with killing African guest workers but it will expand.
MUCH!
The Idiot-in-Chief is spewing lies again about a free Libya and the zombie’s will eat it up not knowing that the Muslim Brotherhood has taken over another country. Whats that Egypt and Libya in one year? Obama’s plans are coming together nicely. Israel should be very worried.
I actually saw one of Clinton’s former aids(can’t remember his name..but he is married to that CNN muslim apologist reporter)...anyway he was explaining to Wolf Blitzer that Gaddafi being murdered was probably better since Bush’s handling of Saddam and his trial wasn’t seen as fair! These people will say and do anything.
So in liberal leftist lala land, it is now better to just kill your opponent in cold blood rather than to try and give them a trial(as long as a democrat is in office).
How Stalin!!
We’re doing Iran’s heavy lifting for them.
Rose Garden: Obama shout-out to our friends in Libya; looks forward to tolerance, freedom, and dignity there; knows it will be “a long and winding road.”
I see President Obama has scheduled the first of many I killed Obama. Now I have killed Gaddafi speeches to the nation. He better be careful. Latest report is that a French fighter jet fired on the Gaddafi convoy and stopped it and that the rebels on the ground dragged a very much alive Gaddafi off a truck pistol whipped him and then killed him.I am not one to quibble about semantics but this account really is closer to murder than to a battlefield combat death. Works for me but I don’t think it will work for lefty Obama supporters and the Arab street. He might want to let the ragheads take credit for this one.
Has anyone heard who will be the new strong man?
