I have a black suit-dress I wear to funerals. Im rarely in this type of a gathering and so my wardrobe is depleted (depleated? Hahahahaha!). Thanks for the advice. Ill check through my stuff later today.LOL, I'm in the same boat, although I'm sure your black suit-dress will be fine.
It sounds like you're in the South... if the event will be held outside, maybe the dress will be more casual?
Up here in Connecticut, during fall and winter, black and navy blue suits, dresses, etc. are pretty common.
Then again, at political events such as this one, I've also seen women wearing red suits and dresses (as a nod to conservative Red State ideology) along with red, white and blue scarves, and patriotic jewelery like this: Red White & Bling

I shouted DAMN! very loudly in my head. I was already out of my chair and grabbing the remote for the office radio off my wife's desk before I heard the correction. It's bad enough that I have to endure Mark Davis every morning on WBAP, but I can't take another three hours on Rush's show.

So he is basically lowering corporate income taxes to the same rate that all individuals would pay, 9%, which would be wonderful for small business creators.

personally I loved the debate....it was us against us...not us against liberal assumptions
To: rodguy911
I was surprised there were no ‘gay marriage’ or ‘gay military’ questions at the debate, since Cooper was hosting.

If I understand it correctly,
You got it mostly right. The VAT is indeed a tax that is placed in the production stream of a product and is applied at every stage whenever "value" is "added" from one stage to the next.
Corporate taxes are not VAT's in that sense, but every corporation has tax expenses such as corporate taxes, payroll taxes, or other overhead and make up for those expenses in the cost of their product. These are embedded taxes in the same sense that a VAT is an embedded tax.
The current estimate of those embedded taxes are 22%. If corporate taxes are reduced to a 9% flat rate and payroll taxes are eliminated, the dollar amount of embedded taxes in the product cost will go down. Smart businessmen that wish to gain short-term and possibly long-term market share will reduce the cost of their product in response.
You then have the 9% sales tax which kicks in at final point of sale. If you do an apples to apples comparison of these factors, the taxpayer makes out better AND the businessman makes out better.
Couple that with a LOWER 9% flat tax and an elimination of the current tax code and the taxpayer, again, makes out better, and the country makes out better without the personal cost of filing taxes and the governmental costs associated with our current tax code.
The big loser is Fed Gov, and not with revenue, but with loss of POWER.

Missed the first hour, but was very disappointed in the debate. Perry and Romney going at each other was like watching a “sissy” fight. It was terribly painful. Perry is perhaps the worst debater I’ve ever seen (and I’m including Ron Paul and Gary Johnson in this consideration). Ron Paul was his typically crazy self. We definitely need to thin the herd at this point.

PS: Mark, Ron Paul also asked the candidates to CONDEMN President Reagan. Ron Paul is a lunatic who deserves less than .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 second of air time.

HEY, MARK! NO SEXUAL INNUENDO PLEASE AND DON'T GIGGLE. THAT'S SO GAY. LOL, I don't mind a tiny bit of Mark's giggling, but he's had some shows in the past (subbing for Rush) where the giggling and sexual innuendo went on and on, almost for the full 3 hours... it was too much. Mark is doing a great job today, IMO.
