Ann Coulter's razor sharp wit, her unbending conservative principles made her one of my favorite commentators. However this election cycle she seems to have lost it. First she was in the tank for Christie. The last time I checked he was pretty much the political equivalent of the same positions as Bill Clinton- without the smarminess of course. Now that he has thankfully bowed out she appears to be totally in the tank for Romney-proclaiming tonight that the race is over and it's Romney's. What is the point of winning an election if the person that wins the election does not hold conservative values? Her Twitter tweets were so pro Romney tonight I dropped following her. Am I wrong- did anyone else notice this? If I posted a vanity in the wrong location I apologize - I have been on here for years but don't post often.

Stop looking for heroes. She’s just a human being. She connects sometimes and sometime misses. So what?

She’s on the ‘anybody but Obama’ train and has bought in to the liberal media’s ‘Romney has the best chance of winning’ screed.

She’s channeling some of Christie’s excess fat to keep her alive.

I don't agree with her at all times. Her decisions as of late are certainly case and point of why. Supporting Romney?!?
It is one thing to be on the 'anyone but Obama' train, it is a whole other to jump behind a RINO. Perhaps she is due out with a new book and is needing air time on MSM networks - this would certainly get her the invites.
I wont throw her under the bus yet, but I shoved her near the exit for darn sure.

Coulter jumped the shark when she went in full-tilt with the pillow-biters. At the most basic level, she's establishment elite. It's too bad.
A lot of people we thought were conservatives will sell their souls for Mitt Romney. The ones in the tank for Romney will all have to be marginalized and defeated if we ever want to take the party--and our country--back.

The short answer — all the snarky FReeper comments aside — is, yes, Ann has turned aside for the way, so to speak. Ann bought so much into Christie that now she’s migrated to Romney, and while she still lays claim to “conservatism,” her decisions and opinions over the last year or so show she has departed from the thoroughly principled Conservatism of her past. FOr instance, supporting and speaking at CPAC with the “Log Cabin Republicans” (homosexual Republicans) as a sponsor organization. She spoke out favorably of that, and condemned others who didn’t. So, she’s off the conservative reservation. As another poster said, she’s not perfect. Hopefully it’s not a permanent deviation. Maybe she’ll find her way back to the fold. Otherwise she’ll end up like, oh, David Brooks, or Kathleen Parker, or Peggy Noonan — just one more washed up “Inside-The-Beltway” pundit looking for a TV gig on a news network no one ever watches.

I hear she's had a love child with her "friend" Bill Maher.
To: h-roark
She’s become a northeast establishment Republican.

At the most basic level, she's establishment elite. Exactly. A very far cry from "Kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity" as the cure for the problem with Islam.
