Good points, but I think Cain needs to find a better way to express these things to the American public. Your average FReeper is much more attuned and educated to discern the implications of the 999 plan on their own. But the average American voter needs a lot more clarity and simplicity about the impacts. The simple counterarguments hit very hard and Herman is not providing clear answers. Its not good enough to say go to my website and look at the plan. He should tick off points like yours like he does so well when he lists other problems or sets of solutions.
Are you TRYING to ATTACK us MORMONs again?

HMMmmm...
HMMMmmm...
Ezekiel 18:32
For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD.
Repent and live!
Amen!
I’ve switched from Fox News to the Fox Business Network. They are much more conservative over there and almost always focus on the damage obama is doing to the economy.
OK, here's an exercise, now that you're able to explain the 9.9.9 and how it abolishes the current code and most of the IRS...
Try and sell someone on the existing tax code.
BTW, I love Mormons but scripture condemns the "Another Gospel" which the Book of Mormon proclaims to be.
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:6-9.
So does Government Motors now offer that up as a hybrid?
The biggest problem with the sales tax is the constitutionally-protected income tax. Until the 16th Amendment is repealed, the sales tax will be and ADDITIONAL TAX not a replacement tax. The 16th Amendment must be first repealed before a sales tax is created.
The peasants already have the torches and pitchforks and are going to use them next Nov.
Pray for America
Palin: Newt Won Vegas Face-Off, Would "Clobber" Obama In A Debate
Of course you do. It's included in the retail price of products...That would disappear.
I am talking about income tax .
But the hidden taxes that are added to each phase of product production will be eliminated.
Yes, but you assume the producers of goods will then lower their prices. That’s very idealistic, to say the least. They won’t. Why would they? They’re making a certain price so why bother to lower it? That’s human nature, more profit to them. And no one can make them lower their prices. See the problem?
I think his debate style will do him in...and the fact he is a Texan. Sad to say, but the “style” wins out over principles and even political savy.

One more time...
I NEVER said 999 was a VAT tax.
Some people have suggested that it could lead to a VAT tax.
