Yes, but you assume the producers of goods will then lower their prices. That’s very idealistic, to say the least. They won’t. Why would they? They’re making a certain price so why bother to lower it? That’s human nature, more profit to them. And no one can make them lower their prices. See the problem?

They will lower prices because if they don’t their competition will.
They will use this as getting an edge on the market - that’s what price wars are all about.

No, that's capitalistic. All it takes is a smart businessman with a good business plan to see the opportunity that reducing their price may provide. Unless you are of the opinion that all companies are in cahoots on setting all prices in the market.
