The extra cash goes to higher wages to draw better workers, into R&D to make better products, expansion of the company, which means hiring more people, higher wages to remain competitive.

Cain says it will go straight to employees. They may do that sruff, or they may not, but that's not going to save an employee 18% and that's a fact. Cain is wrong or lying.

Ain't that the truth! I'd pay to see that.

Oh, hell yah. I'd put some personal stimulus back into the economy by buying the rib eyes and Black Jack for the event as well!

Did you miss the thread last year where JR moved a thread about Joseph Smith to breaking news?

And show me where I have said anything against ET Benson specifically or any other specific Mormon.

As I have said before, I am not anti-Mormon, I don’t hate Mormons, I love them enough to tell them the truth, the truth their own church doesn’t tell them.

Or do you think it is ok for a church to lie to its members about its history and doctrines.

Better add Dana Perrino to that list. I think she’s a Romneybot.

Yeah, I forgot about her - I'd like to wipe the smug right off of her little pug face.

However, that being said, Romney is not running for Pastor or Priest (though I do believe personal character is important and relevant) and, he seems to be a descent enough fellow morally.

- - - -
He is pro-abortion, and pro gay marriage HOW exactly does that make him decent morally?

Religion matters because worldview matters and his worldview includes him working to become a God of his own planet and fulfilling a prophecy that states Mormonism will take over the US government.

If you really want to know about why Mitt’s religion matters read “When Salt Lake City Calls” by Rocky Hulse.

Finally, if we do end up with Mitt as nominee (God forbid) Mormonism will be front and center so these cries of ‘it doesn’t matter’ is putting your head in the sand.

To my way of thinking, Cain scored big with his apples and oranges comments.

Romney rather embarrassed himself because he couldn’t grasp the idea that state taxes will remain the same, whether federal taxes stay the same or not.

The 999 plan must be judged on it’s own vs current federal taxes. Trying to tie state taxes and federal taxes together just makes a candidate look like they can’t grasp simple issues.

There may be some validity to criticizing the 999 tax plan, but that is unrelated to state taxes.

If the 999 were to kick in, it would change the federal tax exposure. What people pay now would be changed to a 9% FIT + a 9% federal sales tax.

If you need to cut federal tax exposure under the 999 plan, you can opt to hold off on the new car purchase for a year, and eliminate the 9% tax on it.

Sure would hate to pay a 9% tax on the purchase of a new home.

My brother and I just talked about this and we agree, Newt’s our only real chance.

It's interesting how people arereally just starting to look at Newt.. who can officiate and knows where he stands,.. not just talk political talk to what they think the crowd wants to hear.

No doubt he'd cream Obama....but he'd also take charge 'immediately' in washington. We can't afford the time for others to "learn" about the maze in Washington.

Of course Romny would march right in to washington and do a lap dance with the democrats. Perry would try to wrestle the bull like he does in Texas and it'd buck him off in a heartbeat dazed from day one. Cain just hasn't a clue about governance nor protecal and would need propping up bigtime by a strong cabinet or they'd eat him alive. Bachman, well not sure how'd she go..but she has to get out of the "mom" mode she hasnt been able to shake yet.

It’s a straw man argument. Romney is a socialist... or whatever he thinks is more popular at the time... no, he’s a tea partier corservative... no, he’s... a FReekin chameleon with several fingers in the wind, but that’s not enough? You have to take your personal vendetta against a large conservative sector. Rock on. Makes you and FR look petty. JMHO. I only say that because I love this site, I love this country, and FR has been, and can continue to be a conservative powerhouse. How in the world does LDS bashing help the conservative cause? Sad.

Again you don’t understand Mormonism or their ‘missionary techniques’. Lying to get what you want and flip flopping on things is par for the course. I’m not kidding.

Polygamy, blacks, adam is god, oaths agaisnt the US, anti-Republican all LDS church flip flops.

And the LDS missionaries are taught to omit or lie about certain embarrassing doctrines (like God had sex with Mary or Mother in Heaven) in order to gain converts.

Mitt just lives what he learned.

Talking to a guy today he said what he liked about 999 is it destroys the IRS and all of the political loopholes. It eliminates an entire level of corruption.

Calling Cain a liar isn’t helping your argument, especially seeing how he has a degree in Math and Physics, as well as Computer Science, along with turning around 450 of the worst BK franchises into the most profitable.

I’ll defer to him when it comes down to facts of 9-9-9 based on his credentials.

Examine the facts. I’ve ran a business before, and having the tax rate cut from 35% to 9% will turn this economy around in a hurry, create demand which will in turn create jobs, creating a larger tax base, and turning this lousy economy into a good one.

IDK how many ways and times this needs to be explained as it’s really not that difficult.

I’ve posted numerous examples of how and why this will work.

Once Cain’s site is accessible again, read his 9-9-9 plan and wrap your head around it and think from the perceptive of an employer, a retailer, etc...as well as a consumer and a worker. People that create value.

Cain was set up from the beginning to help splinter the conservative vote and ease the way for Mitt. He’s not in it to win it—and it shows.

That's been my fear about Cain...especially since he's got nothing going on the ground for someone who wants the Presidency, which he cannot win without. His comments favoring Romny are disturbing as well.

It isn’t a vendetta against voters. And Mormonism WILL be an issue if Mitt gets shoved down our throats.

And your implication that I do not love this country or this site is pretty shallow and completely incorrect.

If Mormon leaders told their membership and the world the truth then we wouldn’t have to expose them.

It is no different than exposing liberals who lie. I am doing my Christian duty by exposing a heretical group that wants to be considered Christians and I am doing my conservative duty by explaining why Mitt will be an absolute failure as a candidate in spite of what his supporters are saying.

Are you attempting to get me zotted by pinging the boss (courtesy ping only here)?

Perry just comes off looking desperate, in my opinion. Not a good look for him.

I just don't think Perry wanted the Presidency from the get go...He loves being Governor...but it would seem big corperations and other interested parties put the pressure on him to run...probably with some back door business deals to sweeten the pie, as this is how Perry operates in his "pay to play" style.

Just looked at your long post about Mormons not being Christians. Of course, Mormons consider themselves to be Christians. But apparently your position is that Protestants and Catholics don’t consider Mormons to be Christians, because Mormons don’t believe what Protestants and Catholics believe about Christ.

Lets follow that thought, shall we? Because it presumes there’s this body of faith that Protestants and Catholics hold in common, despite their differences, that comprises “true” Christianity, and that, since Mormonism rejects this commonality of faith, then Mormons are not Christians.

Which seems to hold together, at least as an argument, except for one teeny little detail.

And that is, that depsite this commonality of faith that defines them as “true” Christians, Catholics believe Protestants are going to hell, and Protestants believe Catholics are going to hell - because of their differences in faith.

So my postion is, who cares if Protestants and Catholics believe Mormons aren’t Christian enough to be Christians, when they belive the same thing about each other? What does it matter that one faith alignment is “true” Christianity and another is not, if it is also believe that the faith alignment won’t keep someone out of hell?

And oh yeah, Jesus would surely be in support of this judgemental, damning crap. Absolutely. It literally defines the very essence of His teachings.

Yeah. Sure.

My Mom has a modest retirement income (SS + some $$ from a private plan) and she most certainly pays income taxes. (I know because I do her taxes for her each year.) As best as I can tell, Cain’s 999 plan would be about a wash for her. This assumes that most of the dynamics work the way Cain says they would, and that part is admittedly a guess. I’m no expert. But, I do know you can’t really evaluate his plan statically. That may be a problem in selling it: It’s not that easy to describe all the dynamics of a plan like this in 30 or 60 seconds.

Regarding food, at least some states (including ours and our closest neighboring state) have very low or no sales tax on most basic food items. I’ll also admit I don’t know how prevalent that is. Anyone care to add data? :-)

Where in his 9-9-9 plan would the 9% be added to the cost of a new home?

Also, the cost of a new home would likely drop by at least 9% based on 9-9-9 as the builder wouldn’t be paying a 35% tax rate. Instead, they would be paying 9%, which would allow them to pass some of the savings on to the consumer.

Because if they don’t, someone else will.

That’s just how business is - it’s cut throat and if someone can sell the same product for less, but make up for it in volume, then they will.

I’ve used several analogies and examples over the past few nites to back this claim.

In truth, the cost of most goods and services would drop dramatically.

Remember the “Gas wars?” of the late 1960’s?
One station would be .03 cents a gallon cheaper than the one across the street.
And that’s when gas was .33 cents a gallon.

That’s just one example.

And they used to even give you free stuff like drinking glasses (collect them all!) and other incentives to buy gas at their station, like S&H Green Stamps.

Who else remembers those?

IMO, Herman Cain is best suited for bringing this country and its economy off of life-support and making it healthy once again like it was before the Dems started making the rules.
