They pledged to support and defend the Constitution, but the office of North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr says more than 100,000 U.S. military veterans may be being improperly denied one of the most fundamental rights they swore to protect.

Military veterans whose Veterans Affairs benefits are managed on their behalf by appointed fiduciary trustees are deemed “mentally defective” and reported to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), a computerized database which prohibits them from purchasing firearms.

Why do you think the Dems keep pushing for the National Medical Electronic Data Base? Once they tie that to the FBI database...poof... no more gun rights. At least if you have ever been prescribed Zoloft or any number of depression related drugs, Suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or Combat related Traumatic Brain Injury, etc, etc.

We don’t know if they are a danger to themselves or others. At this point all we know is the Vet is unable to handle personal affairs.

I would not deny them the right to own a gun UNTIL they were tested and deemed unfit to own a gun,
BUT i would have them tested before they could get a gun.
if you are not cognizent enough to handle your personal affairs maybe you are also not cognizent enough to safely own a gun
. They at least deserve the right some sort of screening process

Remember a while back when DHS put out the memo for Domestic Terrorist...bumper stickers about gun rights, don’t tread on me flags, rebel flags, gold or silver buying, survivalist, etc, etc. congrats...terrorist watch list, so no guns for you... its just that easy. The maneuvers are underway. Stay vigilant.

Who died and made you the Constitutional gate keeper?
The VA’s method of determining if a vet is able to handle his/her own affairs is dubious at best. They refuse to list the criteria they are using to determine such a finding.
