He only came out as gay yesterday, but already Zachary Quinto has inspired another public figure to follow in his footsteps.
ABC News anchor Dan Kloeffler, reporting on the actor's candid weekend interview about his sexuality, revealed he too is gay as he joked about dating Hollywood star.
Both men have said they decided to speak out after a spate of teenage suicides among gay youth.
Kloeffler's tone on air was light-hearted. 'He's 34, I'm 35, I'm thinkin' I could lose my distraction about dating actors for that one', he mused during his World News Now report on Quinto.
Kloeffler later explained on the ABC News website: 'For the same reason that Zach decided to come out, I too, no longer wanted to hide this part of my life.
'As a journalist, I don't want to be the story, but as a gay man I don't want to stand silent if I can offer some inspiration or encouragement to kids that might be struggling with who they are.'

I got to now some of them pretty well. Most of them hit on me. They did not care that I was under aged. I could handle them except one time when one of them drunkenly grabbed me in the wrong place. I chucked him in the pool.
They were all, without exception, the most self-loathing and self-destructive people I have ever met. I felt sorry for several of them.
I'd usually get thrown out of the parties because I would wait for them to get good and drunk so I could jack with them. I always asked one simple question. The question was "If you put your thing in his back end and then he puts it in his mouth then what you are saying is that you like eating s*it?" This question would create an uproar because back then and today the big issue with homos is that they never want us to look at what being a home means. It means eating poo.
After I'd ask this question I'd always get the same response. They would all start talking about "love" and "caring" and such stuff. They never wanted to talk about what I was asking about, at age 15. And that was that they ate you-know-what. Number 2. Poo-poo.
The "gay community" has won. Their war, a war started decades ago in places like The Montrose in Houston, San Francisco, Key West, etc. is over. The battle was over making most of the public turn a blind eye to the homosexual "acts". The stuff they do to each other. It does not get talked about anymore. All we see is the emotional part. And that is what they wanted. And now they have it. It was a very well thought out and constructed attack on this country. And it involved people sitting in "news rooms" and other places where the "optics" can be created.
Maybe he just wants to be on “Dancing With the Stars”.
most likely they were molested and their recruiter is pushing it as “normal”.

That was the point. Talking about such things makes some people uncomfortable. That is what the "gay" community wanted. To train people to think they way they wanted them to. It worked...
He fell off the planet about 15 years ago. I'm not sure what happened to him.

Good points. But, as someone pointed out on this thread or on another I saw today, there probably really is no “suicide epidemic” among these supposedly bullied kids. As the poster said, today, we are more tolerant than ever of these deviants, so why were there not a lot of suicides among such teens back in the 1950s?

That being said, I don't so much see a rash of gay teen suicides so much as I see a lot of teenage suicides - gay or straight. Coddling and self-absorption of the next generation?
