Authorities destroyed close to 94,000 pounds of marijuana Thursday morning in Reynosa, according to Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office, known as the PGR.
The destruction took place under heavy guard at the Shooting and Fishing Club in Reynosa, which lies along the highway to San Fernando, Tamps.
In addition to the marijuana, the PGR also destroyed about a half-pound of cocaine, one pound of methamphetamines and 324 marijuana plants.
The drugs were seized as part of 74 different investigations.

A sheriff here in FL was busted a few years back, along with his top deputies, for not burning all the drugs, but saving some on the side...........He had the only approved incinerator within a hundred miles, so he got all the stuff from all the nearby counties to burn........

And the market price for the drugs will not fluctuate due to this “loss”. I home brew beer. After a fire at the primary storehouse for hops in Oregon in 2006 the prices spiked. The fire destroyed 4% of the national hops supply. Samuel Adams actually had a rescue program to distribute their private hop stores to small craft breweries to keep them in business.
Compare that to the War on Drugs. Tons and tons of drugs interdicted and destroyed at tremendous cost and the street price does not budge. Shows the ineffectiveness of those programs.
