The Obama Problem
American Thinker ^ | October 12, 2011 | Monty Pelerin

The Obama Problem is simple to explain but impossible to solve. The problem is Obama himself, and most people not named Barack or Michelle understand that.

President Obama's political career is in free-fall. He will not be reelected. Many Democrats and media personalities now understand what appeared impossible even mere months ago.

Mr. Obama burst onto the political scene as a relatively unknown wunderkind. He could read a mean teleprompter and did so with fanfare at the 2004 Democrat Convention. He had good speechwriters, an intelligent and disciplined campaign strategy, a carefully crafted biography, and a highly compliant media. He was charismatic and eloquent. Joe Biden awkwardly described him as "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

If the dems/est. republican machine can manage to maneuver Romney into the republican pres candidate spot then its a win-win for them. Either way we’ll have Barry or his clone as pres.

His defeat in 2012 is not a sure thing. The Republican Party may very well snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The media will do their best to protect Obama and to savage the Republican nominee. Donald Trump may run as an independent and come in second, with Obama winning with 40% of the vote.

Fast and Furious killed 3,000 Mexicans —not just 200, the commonly circulated number.

Hi Gaijin,

Do you have a source for that one. I’m sharing this stuff with a friend.

Thanks

I think obama is still fully supported by black voters.

My guess is that 95% of blacks will vote to re-elect obama.

I also think that in 2012 obama will also get the majority of virtually all of the minority voter groups, the unions, government workers, teachers, latinos, asians, jewish voters, immigrant voters, etc. I predict Obama is going to win California in a landslide in 2012.

I also do not see any Republican at all getting the support of the media.

...The real problem is that there never was any substance to Obama. He was the political equivalent of a Potemkin village. There was nothing behind the façade. There was no “there” there. All of the problems arise from this obvious flaw.

President Obama is little more than a run-of-the-mill Hollywood extra hired to play president of the United States. A brilliant marketing campaign coupled with the perfect storm put him in office. The marketing campaign was so good that it merits a case study for the Harvard...

...Obama was all hype and no substance. That realization has dawned on voters, resulting in horrendous polling. Richard Nixon was never liked, but he was at least thought competent. Obama was liked but never competent. Now Obama is living proof of the old adage that familiarity breeds contempt. He is neither liked nor competent.

Even the hapless Jimmy Carter did not attain that status.

I think you would be surprised at how much the Black segment of our society is waking up. I have read recent polls that show his percentage of black votes is down to less than 60%. The only group that is massively behind Barry now is the Muslims, they currently poll at 95%.

He was charismatic and eloquent.

Can a man be eloquent if he makes your skin crawl when he talks?

That is a great line!

He was charismatic and eloquent.

He was and is neither!

It’s why you keep seeing stuff about Solyndra and Fast and Furious in the mainstream press. There is a full-court press on to force Barry off this ticket. The party leadership has seen their internal polling and they are soiling their underwear daily. But they can’t have a primary challenge because it would be “racist” and their black support would crater.

The backup plan I think is to get a RINO squish like Romney elected, since he won’t have the kahones to actually undo all of the Socialism foisted on us by Obama. And to build this Occupy Wall Street thing into a big rowdy leftist movement that will scare Republicans in Congress away from trying to undo liberalism.

Then they’ll find themselves a better candidate and come back for another bite of the apple in 2016.

"My guess is that 95% of blacks will vote to re-elect obama."

Perhaps you are correct with your assumption. However; the thrill of "electing the 1st "black" POTUS is over.

If a large percentage of the black vote don't vote, that 95% means nothing.

After all, they didn't get their "free gas, free mortgage and free bills" paid. I'm pretty sure a large majority will stay home this election.....unless of course they come and pull their levers for Cain.....a REAL black man.

The 3,000 Mexican dead from Fast and Furious is here, from the El Paso Times, last paragraph:

http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_18608410

This number is cited numerous other places (but has not yet been reported on TV or radio). The number appears in the official court documents from the Chicago trial of “Zembada”, the son of the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.

Another important part of his trial is this: he insists that ALL the drug-dealing he did was KNOWN and authorized by the US government.

He states —and I believe— that the US brokered an agreement in which the Sinaloa could smuggle all the drugs it please with no US interference, as long as they provided intel on the loads of other cartels.

The sound of his voice actually makes me want to throw up... I'm not exaggerating... I really cannot listen to him without feeling ill. I feel like Kramer when he hears Mary Hart...and that damned whistle when he talks... I would rather subject myself to endless hours of fingernails on a chalkboard than hear that....!

The point about Obama`s eloquence is important in terms of perception, not reality. To people who don`t read extensively and who believe the myth that someone who can read off a Teleprompter and worked as a lecturer MUST be an intellectual, Obama comes off as smart. One look at his actual time in office proves otherwise.

I`ve said it before, I say it again: Obama is a stupid person`s idea of a smart person.
