"...It probably irks Mitt to have to discuss his faith in this way, but the Mormon debate could be of net benefit to his campaign.
...True, there is a small but significant minority who say they would never vote for a Mormon. According to Gallup, its around 22 percent of the population. But opposition to Mormonism doesnt come from conservative Evangelicals or Catholics. On the contrary, Gallups polls show that its a liberal thing. Only 7 percent of Baptists and Catholics wouldnt vote for a Mormon, compared with 32 percent of gays and 49 percent of atheists. Amusingly, the figure is also much, much higher among Mormons, at 22 percent. Thats right, 22 percent of Mormons would never vote for a Mormon. Perhaps they know something we dont."

I remember back in the early 60’s there were hardly no cults in even our major cites. Why? Most families knew God’s Word, they were students of the Bible.
When, the next generations came alone, they stayed home on Sunday mornings, they mowed their yards, polished their cars (many in skimpy bikinis) and had no thought or shame of pleasing the Lord.
The cults came around recruiting members. A wise older Minister told us; they have the right method, but have the wrong message. This is a rebuke to most of our churches today.
Yes, I agree, the cults will become the norm; and those that honor and follow our Saviour Jesus Christ will dimish, and be hated as He, Jesus was hated!
And those 7 percent are probably Freepers. Hell, maybe even on this thread.
1992 all over again.
I can’t understand why Governor Rick Perry did not denounce what Dr. Jeffress said after his speech to reporters. We cannot let offensive talk like what Dr. Jeffress expressed, stir up bigotry between the religions.
I believe what began as a cult has changed for the better. The Mormon faith has come a long way from it’s questionable beginnings. God uses the Mormon faith for his glory. If God works, to cause the seductive words of Joseph Smith, to lead men to Christ, that is a good thing. Once men believe in Christ, all the stories from looking into a hat become irrelevant. Christ trumps the Book of Mormon and brings redemption to all who believe in him.
In short, I believe God used Joseph Smith to bring men to his glory. We have a good God who would never let the trickery of Joseph Smith take men from his grace.
And I get so bloody damn tired of the inter fighting between the different sects. The only thing I could ask of any religion, is do no harm. With that said I often find many “SO CALLED CHRISTIANS” to be some of the most vindictive and hate filled people I have ever met. Let another sect worship different than they, and their vitriol boils to the fore.
“I mean Romney’s religion — that includes Ripliancum’s and Saundra Duffy’s religion — believes all Christian sects are “apostate” full of “corrupt” professors who believe 100% creeds of “abomination.”
Where’s the headlines on that reality?”
Those headlines are buried in the same place as the headlines about the Koran’s teachings about Christian and Jewish “infidels.” You know, “kill them where you find them” and all that.
No, we’ll never hear headlines about what Mormons believe concerning other Christians, at least not during the primaries. If (GOD FORBID!!) Romney somehow becomes the nominee, then we’ll probably be educated on all the weird beliefs of Mormonism between reports about Romney’s numerous flip-flops on all the major issues. This will of course turn much of the base and quite a few independents against him, adding up to electoral disaster and 4 more years of the “One”.
On my long list of why I won’t vote for Romney, religion isn’t even on the list...
A Essay on Mitt Romney. Its damning.
There should be no room in this campaign for criticism of a candidate’s religion or discussions regarding a candidate’s suitability based on religion.
We have a closet muslim sitting in the White House, working to bring the USA to its knees and to destroy Israel yet republicans are using candidates religion to beat each other!
There are plenty of other valid and meaningful issues to discuss and judge the candidates.
The big issues is in regards to “baptism” and the issue of the addition of an extra book of scripture, “Book of Mormon”, which the Lord in Revelations warns to neither add or subtract.
I am thankful that here in America there can still be a healthy discourse about apologetics.

Are we not TIRED of Team Romney endlessly playing the
Mormon card?
Given Romney’s Mormonism voids discussion of the
BIG-DIG, RomneyCARE, RomneyMarriage, RomneyTAXES,
RomneyCOVERUPs, and Romney fascism,
How about Romney’s discussion of the Meadow Mountain
Massacre?
How about Romney’s discussion of the attacks on
Ms. Palin and her children in HIS NAME
and his silent acquience?
Except, If Mitt gets the nom, the media won’t be his friend anymore. Then, the media will start releasing some tidbits about Mormonism and when people actually find out what Mormons believe and practice, they’ll vote for the Marxist Kenyan.
What ?
Why is it that people always condem the source instead of providing an opposing source or argument? Ok then provide an oppposing source proving this is not so...if you can.
If it comes down to Romney and Obama, you will have a choice.
Vote for a Muslim or vote for a Mormon.
I might not like it , but the Mormon will get my vote.
Romney is an unrepentant abortionist/statist lying political whore! Just to be absolutely clear, there will never ever be a RINO Romney campaign on FR!! If he somehow becomes the nominee, FR will be running a full-time campaign to DEFEAT him!! If you wish to support him then I suggest you sign off FR and onto Wankers for Mitt!!
